Old World Meat Company — Attraction in Escondido

If you're looking to experience Ćevapi (uncased ground meat sausage) or pljeskavica (Ground meat patties), then come here! This is prepared in the "Serbian" style which includes pork (non-pork items available at the restaurant as well). It is by far the best cevape I've ever had, and in particular, in America. I highly recommend any meat or grilled food lover to try this! I've had friends from China to Chile gush over the food. You can also get frozen packs to grill at home to share with more friends!

Aside from that, the service is great with a family owned business and owners that take pride in the work. They are expanding at the moment, so do check their website to for any temporary changes to when...

They definitely know how to cook meat. If you're a meat-eater then this is a must try. They are definitely a mom&pop family run restaurant. I'm all for that and can 100% support their business.

Hubby and I shared the Balkan fries with sausage. I appreciated the in-house red pepper relish they made to top the fries. It added an extra layer of flavor. The meat to potato ratio could've been a little better.

You can taste the difference in their fresh handmade no-casing sausages Vs the pre-made overprocessed ones.

The restaurant inside is nicely decorated with red trim on white-tiled walls and aluminum furniture to bring everything together.

Their customer service is welcoming and contagious...

This place is great. It is something different. Not the same old boring "bar style" food. I had the burger, BBQ style. It came on a ciabatta roll and a side of fries. It was really good.....not a traditional burger and not traditional BBQ. Refreshing and different. The portion size was "plenty".....show up hungry. The service was very friendly. A full house of smiling staff members. The restaurant itself was very cozy and relaxed. TV's on the wall with baseball and all the doors opened set the tone to "chill". Plenty of patio seating too. So happy to see a quality restaurant on the East side of Escondido. Can't wait to go back and try one of their signature...
