Mendoza’s Mexican Food — Restaurant in Escondido

Well, this is our second time ordering here and it was to-go tonight. However a couple weeks ago we went and the customer service was through the roof. The lady saw that our lil one was acting like a toddler so, she asked if she could put something else on the TV so he would feel more comfortable. She did and he seemed amazed that a stranger was putting one of his favorite shows on TV for him. Last time we got the Caldo de pollo (chicken soup).... By far THE BEST in town. Tonight we tried something different and I realized that the carne asada is marinated or slow cooked but it's AMAZING. The meat is really tender and flavorful....not like the typical places around here. I hope they keep up their great quality as well as the service. I DEFINITELY recommend going to Mendoza's!!! I went Mendoza’s today, out of curiosity because the opening soon sign, now said Open. Before you step in you see big nice photos of some of the items on the menu. And a few tables and chairs for outside dinning. Once I entered I saw how neat and clean it was. And was greeted right away with a smile and “How are you, and may I help you, and then she let me know “ take your time”. Once I made my selection, she talked with me a little more about the strength of the different sauces. As I continued to look around and at all different food items on the menu. I loved the food here at this place , everyone is so friendly and since my kitchen is on renovation at home I was coming almost every night but unfortunately I ordered for my husband to go a chicken soup and my husband got food poisoning, he was vomiting and with diarrhea and feel horrible couldn’t work at all ,his stomach got so sick that ended in the hospital , I don’t think we are coming back . I also had the chicken taco plate that was delicious and I feel ok but my husband is so sick now after that soup . I understand things happen and I just want the owners to be aware and be careful.
