Rod McLeod Park — Attraction in Escondido

This is an older park, but the landscaping is beautiful. We live within walking distance so it's very convenient. The only qualm I have is the playground structure, bathrooms and water fountains. It's old and could use an upgrade like the other parks in Escondido. Mountain View Park and Kit Carson both got really nice upgraded playgrounds, so I hope they also follow through with Rod McLeod park soon. The water fountain needs to go it's really gross. And the bathrooms are also gross. For such a beautiful park the structures are crap. PLEASE upgrade soon city...

This is a great park for family birthday parties and gatherings as there is large areas to do so. There is one small playground which is great for young children most likely 12 and under.... Directions however you can probably the Park's location most likely does get a lot of homeless traffic I would not let my kids use...

I love this park! The only thing which makes me sad is a big amount of broken glass on the ground on the top of it. There is a playground for little ones, restroom are clean and it's a dog friendly park. Picnic areas are nice, but would need to be renewed a bit. Overall it's a great place to hang out with family...
