Came for first time. Saw advertise, fill up for $5 . Saw what flavors they had and proceeded to the counter. Asked worker for the taste cups he said "we do not do taste anymore." So I asked how are customers suppose to know what they want if they can not taste? He chuckled and said" I do not know ma'am". What if I buy something I do not like how it tastes? Worker just shrugged his shoulders. I then asked worker if he had eaten any of the yogurts. He said " all of them." My next question to him can you tell me what difference in taste there is between the strawberry and pomegranate. He replied" oh no ma'am one is yogurt and the other is a sorbet." At this point I said that is not what I asked. What is the difference between the taste of these two. Is one more sweet than the other? Is one more tart? Needless to say he could not tell me anything about any of the yogurts and sorbet. I was still going to buy one and hope for the best. So I asked him for the $5 cups and he informed me that they did not have them. So I pointed out to him the false advertisement on the store's windows. "OH, he says, we do have them just not right now. We ran out and they might come in in 2 to 3 days." It was at this point he lost me as a customer not just for today but forever! The owner needs to take business classes! If you run out of the advertise item, replace it with whatever you have on hand. It is called customer service! I really give no stars to yogurt lounge! I have the feeling that they practise bait and switch! Oh, by the way, the worker said that the owner did away with no taste samples. The place...
Read moreI just moved from San Diego to Escondido. I found this place about 3 months ago. They have a $5.99 special, but you must use their smaller cups to get this special.
I have stopped here a total of five times. One of the times I got a full size cup as I was really craving yogurt. The other four times I stopped in to get the above special. Only two of the four times have they had the special cups available. It seems to me that if you are going to have a special to draw people into your store, you should at least have the common courtesy to carry the cups for that special. If they had taken the sign down in their front window so at least I didn't waste my time getting out of my car and walking into the store I might be a little bit more understanding.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing and the yogurt taste excellent. They need to keep the special cups in stock or take down the outside sign when they are out.
UPDATE: I raised my review from 2 Stars to 3 Stars. I've gone back two times since the above post and while I used the bigger cups, they had plenty of the smaller special cups. I also noticed while I was "lounging" in the store on Sunday evening, that the special cups are their best seller by far. At least while I was...
