Fascinating learning about Sen MORSE and his family. The Caretaker on the Family Farm (also a Teacher) was full of historic info, making me think...while making me feel comfortable on the grounds and in the Senator's historic house... where sits, amongst various memorabilia and a bust of Morse, his worn Senate Office chair! Sen. Morse was my dad's young law professor at the Univ. of Oregon in the 1930's. Morse became a coveted U.S. Senator in the 1950's, known for his outspoken integrity - thus nicknamed. "The Tiger in the Senate"! If U visit Eugene, consider a little road trip to this Morse Family Farm! The beautiful natural grounds may have some interesting events going, too; or just take a little picnic basket full of goodies and bask in the Nature and history there!

3 large enclosed fields. Plenty of space to really let it rip with the chuck it. Most people are friendly, and I’d say the majority of them can control of their animals. Some people do let their dogs roam freely into different sections of the park without supervision, so if your dog is not socialized with other dogs that could be a problem. Overall my dog and I haven’t had any real issues, just a lot of fun exercise.

Beautiful spot, with forest paths (just beware of poison oak)! As for the dog park, it’s a huge space for the pups to run and well maintained. Lots of friendly dog owners, but quite a few who are not interested in their dog socializing with other pups. This can get a little complicated as many of these folks have intact dogs, so just a 3 star review for this otherwise lovely park.

The best dog park in Eugene! If your dog likes to romp with other pups, they will love this place. But if they're more of a sniff-and-stroll-alone type, then they'll be happy too. I have one of each type of dog, and they both absolutely love going there. We've been going to this park a few times a week for multiple years, and have never had a bad experience with another dog. Most people at the park are friendly, and during the pandemic, it was so nice to go there and socialize with other dog people. If you're feeling a bit lonely or isolated, this dog park is a really great place to see some friendly faces.

There is a hose and some paddling pools set up close to the main entrance, which is a popular spot on hot days. After about 7pm, a large portion of the park is in the shade, as well. During the rainy months, the park becomes one big mud bath, so be prepared with a bunch of towels! There are multiple waste bag stations and garbage cans throughout the park, and from what i have seen most people clean up...

Aside from the wonderful dog park, there is a picnic shelter and large field that can be rented for events, and you can also rent Wayne Morse's former house for events. The shelter has a nice fireplace available any time, and if you rent it you get the use of a basic kitchen and also some equipment for outdoor games. In the summer the city runs an outdoor day camp for kids up to age 11 or so. They get to run around in the forest, and go out of town to do fun things once a week. My daughter loved it! This park has no play equipment but if you cross the road by the driveway the short street there has a sweet little park for kids at the end. One of my fave...
