I have always loved the food and service at the Blair Street location, but was deeply disappointed in the service I received at the Willamette location two days ago. I went in with my aunt and ordered a salad for her and a quesadilla + berry smoothie for me, and was asked to leave a tip, which in and of itself is poor form. My aunt was already reaching to put cash in the water pitcher provided for that purpose, and when she commented on the girls request for a tip, was met with absolute rudeness and unprofessionalism. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait for our food, so we went outside where there was no available seating and waited. Our food finished, as did my smoothie, and I asked if there was a straw in the bag, was told in a very sweet tone that "of course" there was so we left to find a place to eat. My quesadilla was burnt, my aunt's salad was more spinach stems than anything else, and frustratingly, there was no straw in the bag for my smoothie. I love supporting local, I love organic options, but I will not be returning to this location again. Read moreWell I don't know what happen to this place but after today I no longer care to eat there. Where do I begin. Today I called them several times to order my food phone rang and rang no answer. Second time again phone just rang & they hung up the phone.So I had to drive over there to place my order.when I got there the place was empty, there was only one person sitting down inside.I use to go there probably once a week service and servings were good some times it was hit or miss not consistent. But lately in the last 3-4 times that I've gone it's gone down hill. I usually order the same thing due to my celiac and lactose intolerant condition. Today the workers seem to not really care or were bothered by my questions and request. It seems like they were in a hurry to give me my order which was for 2 large salads. I noticed when I got home that I was given 2 small salads they were not tossed they just placed them into a small bowl along with the dressing just unacceptable.I am very disappointed in the customer service & food serving why should I spend my time and money at a restaurant that treats paying customers this way. Read moreTo be quite honest, laughing planet as a whole does not deserve a 5 star review. However, my recent, wonderful customer service experience compelled me to leave this glowing review today. Since the pandemic, laughing planet has really been slipping, and on some occasions resembles more of a laughing stock. The food quality has wobbled, order accuracy has declined, and the mood amongst the staff is sometimes downright dismal. My experience the other night was the exact opposite of these gloomy trends. We came in with a large group near closing (which is always annoying) and the staff, particularly one staff member named India could not have given us better service. Our orders were accurate and well made. She was incredibly kind and sweet to us, and even went above and beyond normal staff duties to make sure we had water, silverware, and all the salsa that we needed. It is bright shining stars like India, that give me hope that laughing planet can one day return to its former pre-pandemic glory.
