I have come here for quite a while and it's always been satisfactory until recently. The other day I came in and ordered my usual crepe (goat cheese, pesto and avocado), but when it came there was no avocado on top. There have been a couple of times where they forgot it which is fine because they brought it out shortly after.
The last time this happened I asked if the avocado was inside the crepe or if they forgot but they told me that they were out of avocado (the ones they had were rock hard so they couldn't slice it up). This was pretty disappointing since that is 1/3 of the fillings/toppings and really makes the crepe. I expressed my feelings of wishing I had been told beforehand so I could have ordered something else and then asked if there was any kind of substitute I could get and the waitress said there was not.
This was really disappointing that I was charged the regular price and wasn't given any option for a substitute. An extra side or an egg on top would have been a great substitute but I was pretty flustered at first and didnt think to ask for it after being told no. I ended up going next door to the market and buying an avocado since I was really looking forward to it due to my rough morning. It was nice they were willing to let me get one and cut it up for me but was still very disappointing I had to do that in the first place.
That whole event basically left a bad taste in my mouth but I didn't want to give up after one bad experience so I came in today and the prices have raised for most everything which is understandable for a small local business and that wasnt upsetting but when I received my crepe it was much smaller and had less filling than usual. I'm not sure if it just happened to be that day the person making it made it differently than usual or if the person in charge instructed them to add less to save on the budget. Overall it was pretty disappointing having the prices raised and the quantity/quality go down. After these two experiences in a row I feel that I have given up on coming back out of fear for another disappointing experience.
Maybe one day in the future I will come back in hopes things will be better because I really did enjoy this restaurant a lot and I hope anyone going here gets to have a good experience like I used to have.
On a positive note, everyone there makes excellent over easy eggs and I have never once been...

I was going to leave a great review, because they have gluten free options & the buckwheat crepe is delish. I don’t mind paying $18 for a crêpe & drink At the restaurant that has quality ingredients and tries to source locally. the food tasted really good and the only complaint I could’ve had was the fact that there were hardly any customers but the employees did not pick up the dirty dishes from three empty tables, which sat there for at least an hour... they came out to delivered food but never picked up any of the dirty dishes and cleared off the tables...The management should teach them “full hands in, full hands out”
But! Then I found a piece of paper in my Crêpe. & it took a really long time to give me my replacement crêpe ... when I went in I noticed the young man who took my money and was touching registers and canisters and I’ll kinds of stuff was cooking my new crêpe and went to pick it up with the crêpe spatula and used his hand to balance it 🤦🏻♀️and the other young man was touching my avocado
So I’m concerned that the young people here don’t care that much about cleanliness and since we’re in a pandemic they really need to make sure before they touch foods that they at least sanitize or wash their hands… Every time
Lastly it’s kind of ridiculous that I paidTwo dollars for avocado and I got three little slices I understand the paper was a mistake, and the food was delicious...But it’s really worrisome the lack of care and cleanliness
2last things: The buckwheat crêpe was delicious until a got the piece of paper And the employees were very nice and offered to replace it
The hot chocolate I ordered seemed maybe not stirred enough ...there was about teaspoon full of cocoa in the...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. Maybe just an off day? Joined a friend for breakfast this weekend. We both ordered breakfast crepes. Not only were the crepes overcook, too thick and tough, they had absolutely no flavor (inside or out). I had the Jack Kerouac. One would think that with a combination of scrambled egg, bacon and cheddar cheese you could find a hint of flavor - but there was almost none. No seasoning to the crepe could be detected. The "scrambled" egg was more like a layer of overcook paper-thin egg then "scrambled eggs". Scrambled egg implies a light and fluffy mixture of egg and possibly milk or cream mixed together to create soft pillows. This was so paper thin you could barely see it, much less taste it. The only seasoning the entire dish had was the salt from the bacon and a pinch of dried herbs tossed on the top of a very dry crepe. Even a drizzle of olive oil over the top would have been added both moisture and flavor. My friend had the eggs and da' brie. Like mine - it was overcooked, too thick and had no seasoning. But at least she had the caramelized onion that added flavor (though we both agreed - it was the only flavor that existed). We may try one more time, but at $10 per meal...plus coffee, we will have to give it some thought as to whether or not...
