Discount Tire — Attraction in Evansville

Made an appt online for 1:15pm for a slow leak on a tire. Arrived and checked in 10 minutes early as advised in the email confirmation. Lobby was clean and nice and cool also had plenty of seating. Izaiah checked me in very nice gentlemen he was very respectful and had a great attitude! He explained the process of if they can plug the tire it was free to do so. Helped me chose a tire if they were unable to plug the hole. We went and checked my car he checked the tread on all the tires and took mileage down. We went back in and he finished up in his computer and said my wait time would be around an hour maybe a bit more. Samuel was the one who did the work on my car also very nice gentleman and a good attitude as well. He looked at the tire came back in and showed me a picture of a huge nail and told me the option aka needed a new tire at that time went ahead and paid for the tire that Izaiah had helped me pick out. He installed the new tire quickly and brought my car out of the bay and right by the entrance doors. Car was clean and no trace left behind that any work was done. I was in and out in under 30 minutes !! I totally did not expect that at all even with an appt. Which I highly recommend having one they are busy there. Simply stated "Would not recommend". Quality management is lacking at this store. I bought a set of tires online, within 24 hours they called me stating they had my tires in stock and could get me in next day. The next day I got the wrong set of tires and did not realize until I got home.I paid more for the tires I ordered online compared to what they put on. Similar thing happened to my father in law at the same store a month prior. After it happened to my father in law, I thought simple mistake and does not happen twice. I thought wrong and should have avoided this place.

After waiting a week from not hearing from them to see if they had my tires in stock, I finally decided to call to find out they had them in stock. Tough to trust if they truly ever had my tires in stock, so I decided to keep the wrong tires they put on. Went to go back for a simple refund today and pay for the correct price of the wrong tires I decided to keep. One of the store associates was trying to "cut me a deal" on getting certificates for the tires that I originally did not want to buy which in the end would cost more than what I originally paid if I got the right tires. So not only a quality management issue, but out to reach for your pocket. I wont be coming back to do a free rotation and balance. I would rather pay someone to do it and...

It was a slightly strange but overall pleasant experience. I found the tires I wanted at Wal Mart for quite a bit cheaper than the price offered at Discount Tire. DT beat that price and their installation price and that price matching was surprisingly painless and quick. It happened over the course of less than 36 hours. At this point, one of us messed up. I went through the process of buying the tires online with my DT credit card, all the way through making an appointment to have them installed. When I showed up for my appointment, the store was completely unaware of my purchase nor did they have the tires in stock. I concede this could be my mistake somehow through the online purchasing process, but that's not the point. I left the store when I was told they would have the tires brought in from Louisville in about 2 hours and they would bump me to the front of the line once I could come back in. I got a call saying the tires had arrived, I drove back to the shop, they pulled my truck in right away and I was done in less than 30 minutes with four new tires. Was it perfect? Things never are, but I am very impressed with the level of customer service and professionalism on display at this company.
