Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Evansville

This was my first visit to the store. I used the website to order ahead. But making orders this way was turned off. So I went ahead making an order just to make a list of what we wanted. I found it very confusing. After I time, I gave that up.

It was difficult to get into and exit the plaza that the shop is in. There are limited openings onto the streets.

When I did get to ordering in the store, the choices became a little clearer. I think everyone has ah-ha moments the first time one makes an order there. It is still confusing, but less so, in the store.

They have a selection of different styles of chicken salad available. I didn't count how many. Many of the styles were unavailable at the time. This was disappointing. Staff said that this was due to a promotion of giving away free samples of salads the day before. The day before?

I can't really judge the atmosphere as this was a take out order. But the dining room looked clean, neat, and pretty.

Upon getting home, the food was tasty even though it wasn't the selections we originally wanted.

Conclusion - I will visit there again, but I'm not eager to do so. I'm chalking up the problems I had to, they being new, and I being new to them. A dine in experience...

One of my new favorite places, but sad thing is it's on Burkhart road and we live about 35-40 minutes away. They offer a variety of different kinds of chicken salad..see ChickenSaladChick.com for all the flavors, white whole wheat or croissants, grilled if requested, soups, salads, pimento cheese, sides, coke products. I've been twice, and I had excellent food and service each time. While not diet food, it was nice to get a sandwich and side that was not deep-fried. Both times, I've had Olivia's Old South on the croissant and fresh fruit, which was a nice sized bowl of red and green grapes, blueberries, and strawberries. There was the equivalent of 1-2 strawberries each time. But in late Feb to early March, the season is a way off yet. Just wondering if they are going to introduce "tuna" versions, or will that be a new restaurant??? Be sure to give it a try. Clean, orderly, nice staff, good consistent food, and it won't break the bank. Oh, they give you a small cookie wrapped in cellophane that you can eat later...if you can wait. Oh, they offer...

My spouse & I arrived around 6:30 p.m. and I was pleased to find out my sandwich choice was still available--Lauryn's Lemon Basil. They were out of some salads so asked about seasonal salad & what was in it. Person taking our order could only tell me it had spinach in it. I had to ask her to find out what else was in it from another employee. (Note: I had to make suggestion to inquire with other staff for more information.) After placed our orders we got our drinks & then sat down to await our orders. Once orders delivered to our table, noticed only top of sandwich was cut in half. Took sandwich back to employee & let her know the bottom sandwich needed to be cut too. My sandwich plus spinach salad were great as well as spouse's Chicken BLT & spinach.

Although the food was good, will NOT go to this restaurant near closing time as employees didn't seem to care about attending to customers nor concern that just mopped floors could be dangerous for the customers without the proper signage alerting customers to the wet floors (especially...
