Friendly owners and an excellent selection! I have had to make do at other import grocery stores for the specialty Japanese things I wanted, and I often had a hard time finding them. Coco Sakula has a great selection of truly Japanese items. I picked up:
premixed koji marinade local daikon A suribachi bowl (I had been looking for one for years!) whole-bean Japanese soy sauce Umeboshi with no added ingredients and a picture of the farm family on the label Plus snacks and snacks!
They also have good refrigerated cases of frozen noodles, fish, etc. They had a nice-looking oden set that I will buy when the weather turns colder. The only product I expected to see, but could not find, was sansho, but I don't really need it right now anyway.
I look forward to returning when I have more time, and especially trying out their prepared foods...

They used to own the sakura mart in Florence over 10 years ago and so happy to have them back! Pro tip: order to go dishes ahead of time via phone. The owner cooks them by himself so sometimes it backs up. It’s worth the wait but it helps them...

There's a small area with tables and chairs to eat in or you can take it to go. People also place orders for sushi over the phone for pick up orders. The sushi was great and very very reasonably priced. $12 for a California roll and 5 piece nigiri. $6.50 for 2 pieces of Inari and futomaki...
