The Blue Goose Sports Cafe is pretty much the only sports bar in Sharonville, and it happens to be conveniently located in the heart of the tiny downtown area. The inside is covered in televisions making it the place to catch any game in this part of Cincinnati. And even if you don't have any sports viewing to do, the sports bar menu is varied enough for anyone with a wide variety of burger, sandwiches, and salads offerings. For my only visit to the Blue Goose I enjoyed the chicken Parmesan sandwich for lunch with crispy onion straws on the side ($8.99). This sandwich is a crispy breaded boneless chicken breast topped with tangy marinara and melted mozzarella cheese, served on grilled garlic sourdough bread. It was nearly like an entire chicken Parmesan dinner, just without a side of spaghetti. The serving size was large, the price was affordable, and the food was plenty good. I would likely be a more regular visitor to the Blue Goose Sports Cafe in Sharonville if my family lived any closer. Fortunately I have plenty of sports bar options much closer to home.

A fun local favorite sports bar that's more restaurant meets local hangout. It has a welcome to where the locals hang out vibe to it. It's in the middle of sleepy Sharonville and the tiny parking lot was packed for a random Thursday but still plenty of seats left in the restaurant. Service was fast and good. The food was American comfort and was OK. Not amazing but not bad. In the immortal words of "The Good Place," it was Cincinnati-medium. Chicken was tender but lamp heated, burger was juicy but fell short from the hard bun and lack of veggies. The chips made it extra plain (fries are upcharge). Side salad - fine. All in all it was fine on a random Thursday. Was 16pp.

We came for the first time at 6pm on a Friday night in July, the parking lot was packed but there was barely anyone inside. I think every person there must have driven separately! Restaurant is sports bar atmosphere and kinda dark. The menu was extensive, so much to choose from, and the food was pretty good. The prices on the meals were higher than I expected for the type of restaurant, it was $15 for my same sandwich and chips that I generally get everywhere we go. Overall a good experience, husband wants to go back and try something else he saw on the menu so we will likely be back soon.

If it weren't for the food being awesome this place would have way less stars.... even though I keep changing between 2 and 3 stars...

The parking lot kinda stinks. I suggest parking across the street if it's busy. But me and a friend went there after work about 6:30ish. We were promptly seated, and asked where we wanted to sit. Now this may have been our fault for sitting in a back booth, but there were other people all around us! The waitress came over and got our drink orders, and brought back our beers pretty quickly. So fast we still weren't ready to order. But we only needed another minute or 2 we told her.

This is when she proceeded for over 10-15 minutes to refill other peoples drinks (no biggy) but then as we sat our menus at the end of the table for a few minutes and kept looking around for her she was off bussing tables, oblivious to us. Mind you, I've worked in food service, I know how it goes. This place was by no means busy. I think one other group came in after us and the place was not even half full. Then she dissappeared for a few more minutes before finally coming back to us. At this point, had we not had beer we would have walked the heck out of there. But again at this point we were almost done drinking them and were to the point of finishing them and walking out anyways.

Now I understand the whole chips with sandwiches, but to charge over a dollar to get fries instead of chips with a burger is kinda rediculous! Especially for a sports bar when people are going to be vegging out regardless. I think the waitress came back maybe one other time to check on us, took about 7 minutes to bring us water. All the guys at my work rave about this place for lunch, maybe... MAYBE i'll give it one more shot for lunch, but seriously, the price and the absolute lack of service really isn't worth...

Update: I received a response from the Owner of the Blue Goose, but I can't figure out how to reply to their response. I appreciate the information they provided about the obstacles causing them to run out of menu items. They asked me to keep in mind the COVID situation when reviewing places. I don't feel like my reviewing was really negative. I was disappointed that they were out of things, and I mentioned that in my review so other customers might avoid that situation. By that I do not mean avoiding the restaurant; maybe check the menu ahead of time to see if there's something else to order so you don't get there and then find out they don't have what you went for. I also said the service was outstanding and because of that I would probably be back. Again, I appreciate the owner responding.

This place was highly recommended, so I wanted to try it out. I visited around noon on a Friday. They were out of multiple menu items (wings, which was my main reason for going, fish and chips, and a couple other things). I ended getting the nachos with ground beef, and a buffalo chicken sandwich with crispy onion straws. The nachos looked amazing. I can't figure out why, but even though they were loaded with toppings they seemed to lack flavor. It was weird. The buffalo chicken sandwich was much smaller than I thought it would be, but it tasted decent. The onion straws were really good. The service was fantastic though. I believe my server's name was Caroline. Very friendly and apologetic over the items they ran out of. While I wasn't impressed with the food I had, the variety of menu options and the excellent service will probably...

I've been to this restaurant in person, have liked the food, but have had spotty service. What prompts the one star is that I tried to call in an order for pick up, then the lady who answered the phone told me they were slammed and she wasn't taking orders until after 7: 30pm (I had called at 6:15pm--45 minute difference). I waited, knowing that my husband needed to eat sooner as opposed to later due to his GERD and time he needed to sleep before work. I called back promptly at 7:30 and no answer on the phone. I called back several times within that half hour, no answer. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MOVE. Be honest with your customers. I was willing to give you money for food. I might have been again if you were up front with me. You could have said, "we're understaffed and unable to take phone orders" and I would have taken it better. Now you have a disgruntled former patron who will share this story instead. Addendum: Being understaffed does not excuse telling someone to call back later for service, then never picking up the phone. Tell the potential customer the truth. I might have been willing to return at a later date, but let's face it, MANY restaurants (and other businesses) are facing understaffing and this restaurant IS THE ONLY ONE out of THE MANY I CALL that has ever treated me this way. Evidently, you think you have enough repeat business to behave in this manner; professionalism comes in many forms, including phone etiquette. I find how I was treated as just plain rude. I would mark it as "zero...
