Minneapolis Event Space - Pique Travel Design's charming event venue, Excelsior, MN — Attraction in Excelsior

PERFECT space! The venue was perfect for our wedding ceremony and reception with a guest size of 70. And, working with Dana was a delight - she is very easy going and took the time needed to explain the process and answer our questions. The room was set up for our ceremony and then flipped to accommodate the dinner, then dancing. It went very smoothly and without disruption. The suggested caterer/vendors were all amazing, and went above and beyond what we expected. They were all professional and knew what they were doing.There was nothing to worry about. The venue has a welcoming and comforting charm on its own. We brought decorations which added an additional level of ambiance. ALL our guests, commented on the great space and many stated "what a great place to have your wedding". Not only did it fit our personalties as a couple, it made our guests feel comfortable and relaxed as well. The night was enjoyed by all. We highly recommend Pique Travel for your wedding or event. I hosted my wife's surprise birthday party at Pique, (roughly 80 ppl), and it couldn't have been a better venue. Virtually everyone who attended raved about it, and how cool and unique it is. It was the ultimate center piece for the party, and put the finishing touch on an excellent event. While it's a renovated lumber warehouse (beautiful timber frame-style exposed beams, etc.), it's far from an intimidating space. It's not the stereotypical over-sized type of warehouse expanse capable of swallowing up a gathering of 200 ppl. Nor is it the usual cold, commercial-ish environment of a hotel type ballroom. Somehow, it's a malleable space that can accommodate anywhere from 40 to 150 or more, with an equal degree of a warm and welcoming aesthetic across all types/sizes of events. Functionally speaking, it's open floor plan - with a crazy degree of flexibility for any number of layouts - is a party/reception planner's dream. I can't say enough positive...

We had our wedding 11/2024 at Pique, around ~80 people. We were hoping for a chill vibe, and Pique was the perfect location to deliver it. Their pricing we felt was really fair, and we were really appreciative of Dana and all the help and options she provided. The location is awesome, and we loved being close to the Commons for pictures, and for our friends, Excelsior Brewing for a beer pre-ceremony! We were able to find vendors on their preferred list that worked well for us, and the space lent itself easily to our layout and decor and it didn't feel crammed which admittedly we were concerned about.
