WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My husband went on a business trip which meant he would be away for V-day so he searched on the web and came across CLIFF GARDEN FLORIST to order me flowers to be delivered on Vday (as a SURPRISE). Not aware of any of this, I get a call 2 days before Vday, asking for my husband. I tell them that I am his wife but I will take a message for him. they tell me "your husband ordered flowers to be delivered on Vday but we cannot accept his order because the flowers he picked are too expensive". Im still in shock because I just found out that he was planning this so I tell the guy "oh, I'm sorry, I wasnt aware of this.. it must've been a surprise for me.."; and he has the audacity to say ";so what you wanna do?". No apologies no nothing. So I told him that he is extremely rude and unprofessional and demanded to know why he had to call the recipient of the flowers to tell her this? isn't it the normal course of business to contact the person that placed the order? then I demanded them to explain "flowers are too expensive" part of his explanation. Did he not pay for the flowers? what was this, name your cost website that he purchased from?? I am pretty certain he went on their website and selected the flowers that were displayed, and paid with his credit card, for the amount stated on their site... so WTH is flowers are too expensive? I demanded an answer for ruining my valentines day. he said hold on and put the owner on. A lady comes on and explains the whole situation saying that the flowers that were displayed were not available (or a bit more expensive during this season) and the place that he wanted to deliver to (my work place) was too far so she thought it would be better to cancel. So I asked her in what mindset and world it would be ok to call the recipient of the gift to cancel? She said she apologies and will take care of this right away. Never heard from them again- they just emailed my husband after our convo saying they are canceling the order. Vday came and went and no flowers. not even substitute flowers. no apologies. no reasons.
This is my husband and I's first Vday together after we got married few months ago. On top of that, I am pregnant with our first child and it broke my husband's heart that he couldnt be with me during our first Vday. Which is why he went on and ordered me the most expensive flowers and added chocolates as extras (because I am craving sweets lately) because he wanted me to smile. I know the florist would never have known our situation but.. I'm thinking.. anyone that wants to send flowers.. is because it is a special occasion. Cliff garden florist doesnt have to know what each of the occasion is, but they really should know that it is NOT ok to mess it up. You relaly dont get second chances with this. If they cant handle this, then maybe wrong business? Next time you want to put your special occasion into the hand's of Cliff Garden Florist- think about my situation and go ahead if you can afford to have them mess up the special...
Read moreI had a very disturbing experience. A delivery man was banging on the outside door of my two family home. He did not ring the doorbell. I opened my window and asked who it was. A man said he had a flower delivery. I asked who the recipient was and I could not understand what he was saying as he had very broken English. I went to the door and a man was holding a very lame bouquet of flowers. after several minutes of trying to get the name of the recipient I noticed the name on the paper he had in his hand was for the tenant upstairs. I told him she was not home. He tried twice to walk into the hallway and I asked him to back up. I told him he could leave the flowers or come back later. He said he needed to pick up the old flowers. He then proceeded to push the door completely open and pushed me. I managed to push him back out the door and as I was trying to close the door he was pushing it open. Fortunately I was able to close and lock the door. He continued to bang on my door. I called 911 and a police officer quickly came and pulled him over as he was leaving. 1-800-Flowers was notified of this incident. I called Cliff Garden they did not want to discuss it.I would give 0 stars if I could. These people don’t deserve to...
Read moreWilted flowers...... looked one week old.... lady who answered the phone was absolutely rude, said she doesn’t know and that I should tell “him “ to pick up the arrangement. That I should call him..!!! I said I have only the number on the card. She hung up. Then the husband came back to my door. To my surprise Instead of taking back the wilted flowers or apologizing. He started screaming at my door about him being old and being in business for so long. ... and that he will take the arrangement back and I should call the people ordering the flowers to cancel the order......!! my Guests sleeping downstairs were woken up. Because of his loud voice and horrible screams ....! I ended up keeping the wasted/wilted flowers just to get him off of my property. Altogether this was a horrible experience. And it was supposed to be a consoling gesture to receive flowers in such difficult times. I feel bad for peoples money wasted on this flower shop probably thru an online order.... ..of course it’s the kind thoughts n...
