A must-try hidden gem in the DMV area. I have been trying to find a good Bao place in DMV area and I didnât expect to find it accidentally here. The Bao is authentic northern Chinese styles. Itâs soft, juicy and delicious! We only had the opportunity to try the scallion pork Baos because the portion is big. Weâll definitely come back to try the other ones! The service was very warm when we were here and the host offered us complimentary corn soup because it was cold outside. I donât think itâs pricy. They sell Baos in packs of six for twenty dollars when I was there. Honestly those Baos are pretty huge and each pack can feed about two average adults. How is ten dollars per person eating out pricy? I do recommend them to start selling smaller packs, but I mean just take the rest home and reheat using microwave. Youâll...
Read moreI recently visited this establishment for the first time, initially thinking it might be affiliated with a well-known steamed stuffed bun shop in Maryland that my family and I really enjoy.

The buns were not well madeâthere was very little filling inside, leaving a lot of empty space, and the overall presentation felt unrefined.
Given how much more expensive it is compared to the Maryland shop, and the noticeably lower quality, weâve decided that we wonât be going back. While we understand and appreciate the challenges of running a business, this experience didnât meet our expectations in terms of taste,...
Read moreI have ordered from here for family and friends, and for pre-school kids to share as lunch (so parents wouldn't need to pack lunch).
Taste: All the kids and adults I know who tried the buns really like them. Price: 1 box of the buns costs $20 was enough to share among 4 pre-school kids ($5/kid). Their price seems high but keep in mind they sell in bulk. Also, what's not expensive these days due to inflation? Service: After the owner found out I was buying 1 box of buns for kids, she agreed to make the buns without sesame, offered to pack them individually for each kid. For future orders, she suggested using less salt, adding veggies to make it more healthy, and timing the pickup so the buns would stay warm. I think the owner is a very nice lady, she may just have that "resting...
