Cool that where you run your dog is also one of the great pre-historic sites in NOVA? Is it as cool as the K-pop on your airpods? Perhaps not. You are unlikely to find the evidence of cobbles and outcrop quartz quarries with soapstone quarries accompanied by workstations going back 5000 years or more. It is nice but unmaintained woods. Also, I notice more and more 'Private Property No Tresspassing" signs in the south and west ends of the park. Previously, it was possible to walk all the way through the woods and connect to George Mason campus. Now some honcho would appear to guard his "property", which totally looks part of the woods, unfenced, and demand you to return. Return where?! I guess the county has abandoned the park to land grabbers that want to build giant houses...

Beautiful little wooded park for a suburban hike - all natural dirt trails, up and down hills, crossing several streams, zig zagging around, but nothing is marked so be sure to bring a cell for the GPS abilities to track back to your car! Parking is limited at the end of Belden St, or along the side of the road...
