My first visit to this bakery. As soon as we walked in, they greeted us. She answered any questions and provided suggestions. We already had plans to eat at an Indian restaurant, so couldn't really think about eating anything.
However, there were so many different muffins and they looked so pretty in the display case. I still didn't know what the items on the ither side of the case were, so I skipped those. My mother wanted thw almond croissant, but it looked almost a week old, so that was a hard no. I decided on the chocolate with cream cheese muffin. The employee suggested getting 4 muffins as a better deal, but wasn't in a muffin mood, I couldn't even think about having 4 muffins at the moment!
We kept the muffin in the hot car while we went to Woodlands, then walked around Lowes. Once we reached home and finally tried the muffin, it was actually soft and moist!
There were a few customers therè, a decent number of tables and seats. Once I checked in on Yelp, a 10% coupon popped up.
I would like to try this place again but on a day when I don't already have...
Read moreFairfax Bakery is genuinely one of a kind in the DMV area. As someone who appreciates both cultural authenticity and great hospitality, this place delivers on both. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and the aroma of fresh-baked goods.
Their Turkish breakfast is the best in town—authentic, generous, and full of flavor. The baklava is made fresh daily, and their nearly 30 muffin flavors are something you won’t find anywhere else. I especially love the poğaça with ribeye and mozzarella—it’s deliciously unique.
The owners, Atilla and Ozlem, have poured their hearts into this place. You can feel it in every detail—from the quality ingredients to the carefully curated dessert case filled with house-made éclairs, profiteroles, and Turkish rice pudding.
It’s more than a bakery. It’s a cultural experience and a community gathering spot. I’m proud to support Fairfax Bakery and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fresh, flavorful, and...
Read moreAfter finishing our lunch nearby, we sought a coffee and dessert spot and found a charming bakery that piqued our interest. This Mediterranean bakery café, though small with limited seating, was pleasantly clean and tidy. We decided to sample the caffe latte and mocha latte, which were enjoyable, although we found them to be a bit lighter than anticipated. Pairing these coffee drinks with the sweet baklavas - pistachio and chocolate walnut - was a delightful choice. The baklavas we chose were delectably sweet, boasting layers of phyllo dough, nuts, and sweet syrup, with a hint of richness from the dairy ingredients. While the bakery offered an array of enticing baked goods, we unfortunately didn't have the room in our stomachs to try more. We do look forward to returning in the future to explore more of...
