I love this place. I have been wanting to visit this gym for a while which is conveniently located near my home. I am visually impaired and was quite nervous to take the leap. I eventually decided to start a membership. I received a call from Jocelyn, who was amazing and incredibly friendly. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable. She explained everything to me, asked if I had questions and overall was excited to have me join. I was still quite nervous to venture into certain areas of the gym because of my visual impairment. I would solely utilize the treadmill only but was still very interested in other areas of the gym. I have been on a consistent fitness journey since May of this year and have successfully lost 54 pounds. I wanted to add more to my fitness journey other than what I was doing at home on my own, so I reached out to the gym again and was greeted by Jocelyn. I explained to her that I was interested in adding a personal trainer to aid me on my journey. I was given a complimentary session to see if it would be a good fit for me. I had my complimentary session with Nate. Nate is also amazing and shows genuine concern for my safety and my fitness journey. After my first session, I was on board. I have completed several sessions with Nate and have also been able to utilize several machines in the gym, which I love. I have become incredibly comfortable entering the gym. To say Jocelyn and Nate is amazing is an understatement. I cannot say enough about Nate, my personal trainer. He consistently assures me of my safety and level of comfortability, which is very important to me. I have also met a friendly face or two in the process. This is a great gym to join. The energy and vibe there is awesome. I look forward to going to the gym. My fitness and health journey is incredibly important to me. Joining the gym and having a personal trainer is one of the best decisions I have made and I look forward to seeing my results 3, 6, 9 and even a year from now. Thank you, Onyx Fairview Park, Jocelyn, and Nate. Iām incredibly satisfied and you guys...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Onyx looking for a trainer only. I wanted to purchase individual sessions because I was not sure how many sessions I would need or if the trainer would be a good fit for me. Alyssa told me that would be fine but I would need to purchase a membership in order to hire the trainer. I bought the membership for $10 a month (for a year) since I only planned on using the gym with the trainer. I also bought 8 sessions for 2 sessions a week that would be a month and I would evaluate my progress at the end of the month. I figured if it didn't work out, I would pay the $10 a month and maybe use the gym till my year was up. All of a sudden my account started be charged $386 a month every month! When I brought it to Alyssa's attention nothing was done. I contacted Rich at the the Parma office to get it rectified but he was very rude and condescending. I had to jump through hoops to have my funds returned. They don't give you a copy of what you're signing and there's a reason for that. Honestly this is what happened to me so be careful if you plan on joining this gym. It might be in your best interest to just stay away from this place altogether. I would like to mention however, that Nate the trainer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy fiance had been a member for 7 years with a family plan, it must have gotten changed due to the north olmsted location shutting down. If there are people like Ms. Alyssa H, then I can see why...she approached us asking about the membership, we were more than willing to calmly talk about it and I had to calm her down since she was so aggressive about us deciding to cancel when we found out he was somehow kicked off the family membership. I don't know why she was so aggressive with us still. She starting throwing personal insults when fiance & I had a private conversation about an upcoming vacation while she was processing the cancelation. Anyways everyone else at that gym had always been pleasant with us. Shout out to Jocelyn for being so kind on the nost hearing this about her staff and old friend Erick Parks. At least there's some people who wouldn't approach with an...
