Heirloom is FANTASTIC!!  Words honestly can't do them justice.  I'm the type of bride that did extensive, exhaustive research of DMV's top-tier caterers before booking - I mean, truly exhaustive.  In the end, we debated between DC's historically top catering company (which we found to be amazing too but slightly old-fashioned and not as creative/inventive) and Heirloom.  And I am SO happy with our decision!!  We've now used Heirloom 3 times for 3 very different events -- for our rehearsal dinner, our wedding, and recently for a small company dinner party at our house!   The food has been fantastic, delicious, and beautifully presented every single time.  They go above-and-beyond not only with the quality of the food, but also with the presentation.  The food was so tasty at our rehearsal dinner and wedding that our guests still talk about it (and at our recent small dinner party, the guests were blown away at how good the food was - several asked me which catering company we used)!  As someone who has gone to a lot of weddings and has had a lot of bland/mediocre wedding food, I can tell you that Heirloom's food = standout.  It is truly THAT delicious -- fresh/seasonable ingredients, perfect seasoning, and elevated recipes.  We LOVED the personalized menus, which centered around an elevated crab boil for our rehearsal dinner, and a whimsical garden dinner party for our wedding.  The presentation is better than you can even imagine -- inventive, colorful, expertly plated.  Which speaks perfectly to the incredible women behind Heirloom - Vicky and Lindsay.  They are FANTASTIC - brilliant, talented, fun, down-to-earth.  You instantly feel like they're family and like you've known them your whole life.  They are excellent communicators, easy to work with, and hyper detail-oriented.  On the days of our events, they took charge and ran the show, ensuring that everything was done beyond perfection (perfection isn't good enough for them!).  Prior to our wedding, Lindsay was so helpful in picking out our place settings, decor, and serving ware (I think the photos speak for themselves) and during the wedding events, Heirloom's waitstaff was top top notch - so kind, helpful, and on point the entire evenings.  I really can't recommend (nor thank) them enough and plan to use Heirloom for many more events as we have future dinner parties and life cycle events.  Heirloom = our...

We hosted our wedding at Dock5-Union Market, which is a blank canvas (read: empty warehouse) and Vicky was able to transform it in a way that reflected our style while guiding us with her professional advice. She truly made our wedding vision a reality. Vicky stuck with us through the pandemic and was graciously flexible with us throughout, and ensured that we had our dream wedding in the end.

Heirloom’s food is absolutely unforgettable, and it was that excellent food in combination with thoughtful and perfectly executed service that made our reception so enjoyable. We wanted to do family style and create a sense of warmth throughout the warehouse space and they nailed it - two long kings tables, assorted ceramic serving platters, the bistro lighting, moody candles… everything! The menu options we found with Heirloom and the creativity in both the dishes themselves but also the presentation convinced us - and we are so glad we did! Vicky also personally checked in on us throughout the evening and made sure we got to have every single delicious thing being served! It’s been several weeks since our wedding and our guests still talk about “the best wedding food they have ever had”! But it was not just the food and menu design, as we decided some months down the planning process to also entrust Vicky and her Team to handle the design aspects of the wedding. The planning process was comfortable and collaborative, and we loved the ideas that Vicky introduced to take our vision and turn it into reality.

Vicky and the team at Heirloom have been nothing short of exceptional before, during, and after the multiple events we've worked with them on. Working in events for the commercial real estate world, I work work many caterers on a regular basis, and I can say that Heirloom has consistently been the most creative, comprehensive, collaborative, and professional group I've worked with. The food and beverages have always been outstanding, and all of our guests have nothing but high praise. One of our (notoriously picky, with a renowned taste) executives even praised Heirloom's work with: "I can't eat this food, it's too beautiful. This is the best presentation I've ever seen." Needless to say, he did try the food, and was equally as blown away with the quality. The Heirloom team has worked with us to design gorgeous events beyond just the food and drink as well, collaborating with us on design elements, and lending their deep expertise to suggest different ideas, which ultimately led our events to be even more wonderful. They have a deep roster of rental groups they work with to bring in pieces that have elevated our events to another level. Even from a cost perspective, while certainly not an 'economy' option, the team at Heirloom has provided me more bang-for-the-buck than any other group I've worked with, and has been worth every penny.
