I've been going to Family Fare on North University for over three years now and have always had a pleasant experience. The store is always clean and well stocked. The main thing that keeps me going back is that the staff remembers me, or at least pretends they do.. Let me explain. They offer a Military Discount there (Uhm yay!) and whenever I go to pay and ask for a military discount they say "Oh yes that's right, I'm sorry." I don't go to the grocery store That often, I don't expect them to remember me at all, but every time I ask for a military discount it sparks that memory and for some reason that makes me feel remembered and cared about.
The only reason I docked them a star is because it gets very sketchy there at night. I know it's not really the stores fault, it's more of a location thing. But if I'm going there past 9pm I try to bring a friend with because there are some very questionable looking people who hang out there after dark. I don't know what kind of security they have in place but I feel like they could maybe do a little more to make their customers feel safe. Maybe discourage people from loitering after dark. Have a few more employees on so that I can feel like there are trustworthy people looking out for me when I come in alone after dark... Idk, just some ideas. But overall I realize it's something that not much can be done about and it hasn't ever been a huge hindrance for me...
Read moreThey are way over priced like hornbachers had toilet paper with more to package for cheaper then the cheapest brand u could find there. On other stuff their price is like ten dollars higher. Not only that but they price tags on the shelving areas most of the time are right and I means it will be the same product and brand but wonât be the correct pricing or whatever so it never really the price it says on the shelf and if u see a price different there on the shelf from a employee mess up of putting stock away or putting things up wrong they will NOT correct the price for you at all I got sick off there bakery and ready to eat food. I rather travel 15 mins away to get my items at way cheaper pricing and not only that but where the store makes it right for u. Iâve been going there for a while but after this time I wonât bc I never met a manager dean I think his name was that never made it right on the customer behind when the store was in the wrong. The associate was a horrible customer service person when it came to that problem to like no respect and very like idc ur wrong and trying to argue that it was in the wrong spot when there was 12 other ones on the shelf with the same price type. Donât recommend like I said I saved so much more shopping elsewhere today and i see now that family fare over charges...
