Goodness what a gem. TLDR; go! I’m back home spending quality time with my dad this summer. I grew up in Fargo but have lived elsewhere since. Most of these other places had top-notch ethic cuisine options (Colorado, San Francisco, Austin..). It’s rare to have any cuisine with this level of freshness, execution, and value anywhere these days IMHO. In fact I’ll dare to say this might be some of the best Northern Thai food I’ve had, and nothing else comes to what you get for the price you pay. The spring rolls were first; delightfully surprised that the $6 order came with 4, north standard two. They’re admittedly smaller than most, and without addition of vermicelli, but they’re packed with fresh veg and a modest amount of protein. Bonus: two different dipping sauces included. Next came our entrees. Generous portions are an understatement. My Labb Moo was on point. It’s a spiced ground pork alongside fresh lettuce, cucumber, carrot, cabbage. Sticky rice is provided separately in a bag. I’m not sure the traditional way to eat it, but the rice is so hot. I like to dump a little bit into the bowl and grab a little of each component in a bite. Employee told my dad that the best thing on the menu is the fried rice. Maybe she sized him up for what he really wanted because I bet there are other even better things on the menu, but it was outstanding fried rice. We added the chicken ours. It’s a good amount of meat and good quality meat as well. Read: rotisserie chicken or roasted chicken, pulled into bits with crispy skin and succulent flesh. Side sauce provided for a kick. Need to say we were thoroughly impressed and we aren’t the easiest people to impress. And not only us - we saw three other customers leave profusely thanking the staff with smiles on their faces. THAT is also rare and speaks volumes. Enjoy!

Passing through Fargo, we stopped by to grab a bite here. Who would've thought in the middle of winter, one can find the spices and heat of Northern Thailand in North Dakota. The food was vibrant and delicious. I usually prefer Lao style papaya, but the Thai style papaya was refreshing, crisp, and well balanced in flavor. My favorite was the pork belly keang. It felt like my mom made it. My only "complaint" was the serving of the keang was smaller than my big butt desired. 😆 The service was great. The young lady working the front was attentive. And the owners are so gracious and charming. Good people serving good food is always the best thing.

ThaiKota is the number one place to eat after work if you depend on food to lift up your broken soul and heal your bones. Everything TJ and Gina make should win awards, if it hasn’t already. Maybe I should call the guys over at Guinness World Records and see if they have a record for how fast soup can heal a hangover. ThaiKota would win. Go here in sweatpants when you’re sad, and leave with a brand new outlook on life. You think I’m kidding? I fired my therapist because all I need now is fried rice and spring rolls to cure my depression. If you need a therapist, my old one has an opening, but I suggest eating here first.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the John Borge Studio in Fargo, North Dakota, and it was truly a remarkable experience. This studio is a hidden gem in the art scene of Fargo and deserves the highest praise.

The moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The studio itself is spacious and well-lit, creating the perfect environment to appreciate the artwork. The walls were adorned with a stunning display of John Borge's paintings, showcasing his incredible talent and unique style.

John Borge's artwork is simply breathtaking. His use of color, texture, and brushstrokes creates a sense of depth and emotion that is truly captivating. From vibrant landscapes to intimate portraits, each piece tells its own story and leaves a lasting impression. I was particularly impressed by the level of detail and the way he captures light and shadows in his work.

What sets the John Borge Studio apart is the opportunity to meet the artist himself. John Borge was present during my visit and was more than willing to share his inspiration and techniques. His passion for art is evident in every conversation, and his knowledge and expertise are truly impressive. I felt privileged to have the opportunity to talk with him and gain insight into his creative process.

In addition to the stunning artwork, the John Borge Studio also offers art classes and workshops. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring artists to learn from a master and enhance their skills. The studio creates a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters creativity and growth.

The pricing of the artwork at the John Borge Studio is reasonable and reflects the quality and value of the pieces. The studio also offers the option to purchase prints and reproductions, making the artwork accessible to a wider audience.

Overall, my experience at the John Borge Studio was nothing short of exceptional. The talent and craftsmanship displayed in John Borge's artwork is truly awe-inspiring, and the opportunity to meet the artist himself was a privilege. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply appreciate beauty and creativity, a visit to the John Borge Studio is a must. You will be immersed in a world of exquisite artwork and leave with a deep appreciation for the talent and passion of this...

ThaiKota has ruined my life. After many years of thinking that the best Thai restaurant in the upper midwest was only a few miles from my house in the Minneapolis area, ThaiKota has set a new standard for what excellent Thai should taste like. Now I'll have to settle for adequate Thai unless I'm in Fargo. Fortunately, I'm here on business often and will undoubtedly return for a repeat life-ruining experience.

I can't believe the audacity of the people who left one or two star reviews:

"...you need to go get your Owen water and small cheap plastic utensils." Jabronis like you, who eat Thai with anything other than chopsticks and are too oblivious to the fact that this is a take-out restaurant that offers pleasant spaces to dine on-site, should have their internet access taken away.

"Closed on Sunday!? Why? So random and it's such a popular day to eat out." How audacious of a small family owned business to take a day off on the weekend, likely to spend quality time together outside of work. Your "Local Guide" status should be revoked.

"You could find better tasting places that don't cause stomach aches." I realize we are in North Dakota, however if you can't handle food that actually has flavor, maybe you should stick to your 5 star reviews of McDonalds.

I absolutely recommend the fresh spring rolls and Ka naa Moo Krob with fried pork belly, which were both...
