My experience with the Wellness Package, includes Salt Cave Session, Float Therapy, Foot Detox, and Sauna & Cold Plunge for $220. Unfortunately you aren’t really saving much by doing a package, regular price for everything comes to $225. First I started with the Foot Detox, it is a 30 minute session. It was an alright experience. The tub your feet are in is not connected to anything so the water gets gradually colder as you sit there. Your sitting in a massage chair that pretty much just vibrates, I would very much prefer the massage chairs that are at nail salons for example. I wish there was some kind of music playing or something because you’re just sitting there facing a wall. Also wish the WiFi password was given or wrote somewhere nearby, didn’t seem to have great service in the building. This is something I could see myself doing again if the quality was better. Regular price is $45. Next was the Sauna & Cold Plunge. You have your own personal room for this. I was given towels, a robe, and slippers. My towel has bleach stains on it… The experience wasn’t bad, but I think this would be more beneficial if done regularly. Regular price $60. After that was the Float Tank. You have to shower shampoo and wash your body before getting into the tank. Inside the tank there is a small light and meditation music playing. There buttons inside to adjust music or turn off the light. Unfortunately, the buttons were not working right and I could turn off the light. Personally I found this experience a little boring, but I might have been able to relax more had I been able to turn off the light. When done you shower again and can now use conditioner. I wish there was body lotion and face cream available after the exiting shower. Regular price $75. Lastly was the Salt Cave. It was relaxing. You have your choice of the swings or reclining lounge chair. Blanket and weighted eye masks are given. Not sure why they decided to open the door and show someone the room in the middle of my service. Regular price $45.
For reference, I’ve never done a spa experience like this before, but for the price I did expect something more luxurious. For this taking over three hours I wish some kind of beverage and snack were offered. I personally don’t understand the offer of a package if the price is almost identical for the individual sessions and the experience...
Read moreSurprise, surprise, I came back to Inspire (If you’re actually surprised you clearly don’t know me because I go all the time). I wouldn’t normally write a review about a place, but this definitely calls for one. As you already know, I’ve been attending hot yoga for a while now, I’m pretty much a pro at this point. I walk in, remove my Birkenstock sandals, and take off my socks. I normally give my morning “How do you do?” to Erica, my usual hot yoga instructor, but she was chatting with another. I smiled and walked by until I heard a voice behind me say “Andrew, I’m not going to be leading class this morning” it was Erica. I turned around, stunned. “What?!” I exclaimed, “If you’re not going to lead, then who will?”. “Hi, I’m Laura, I’ll be your hot yoga instructor this morning” she said with a smile. My jaw was on the floor. I didn’t know what to say. I’ve never had anyone else other than Erica. I had to say something to sound tough. “I’ll believe it when I see it” I turn back around and walk into the studio. I was terrified.
I sat down in my normal spot (front left) and in walks Erica and Laura. Erica sat next to me and not in the center. Confused, I whispered “Erica, you’re supposed to be in the middle” in which she replied, “No Andrew, Laura is doing it.” Sure enough, she wasn’t joking. Laura actually was the yoga instructor for that morning. She sat centered in the front row and got right into it. Although I was skeptical at first, the more I was doing her workouts and the more I listened to her music, I started to realize how great class was going. At some point, the song Rasputin came on and I went from giving my 100% to my 110%. The class was jumpin’. Laura was excellent at this. It was like she has been instructing for years. Midway through class she asked the group “How are we feeling this morning?” I was sure to give to give the loudest Ric Flair “WOOO” in the class to show her how great and motivated I was feeling. I must have startled the person behind me because I saw her jump. Laura smiled. I had one of the best workouts of my life thanks to Laura. I also walked out of there with a new outlook on life: Don’t be afraid to try new things. Laura, if you’re reading this, thank you. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI’ve been attending Hot Yoga for the past couple months and Erica is my favorite instructor, so I always book with her. I’m a creature of habit and I have a specific morning routine, especially if I have hot yoga planned. On these mornings, I wake up and check the MINDBODY app to make sure the class is still on. After that, I get dressed, and eat a light breakfast (banana and muffin with OJ). Today in particular, I was sporting my brand-new outfit I got from TJ Max, I love the deals!
On my drive in I listen to two songs. Kiss from a Rose (my favorite song of all time) and Cotton Eye Joe (to get me excited to move around). I must have sang along maybe a bit too much because I noticed I had perspiration on my forehead. I walked in and Erica greeted me and said “Good Morning Mitchel! Thank you for showing up, how are you doing?” and I said, “I’m sweating from singing in my car” and she laughed and that made me laugh too.
The class itself was great, like always. Erica is an awesome motivator, which is good because I need that. I also might like to add that the music in there is so catchy! Sometimes I want to go grab my phone to Shazam it but it’s a mix so it switches, and I know I wouldn’t have time. I always tell myself afterwards, Erica’s class is a workout for my body but a vacation for my ears! I’ll definitely be...
