Edit: there was some miscommunication. The team reached out and refunded my money, once it became obvious that they had purchased and were selling a club to me that was, in fact, my club. All good-I appreciate the follow up. I've owned businesses and know that mistakes can be made, but the important thing is that they fixed it.
These guys charged me full price to buy back my own club; a club which someone in the group behind me found, lied to me about having it when I reversed course to look for it, and then turned it in to Golf Roots to make a few bucks on.
I lost my 8-iron at my local course (Heritage Ranch). Been looking for a month for my replacement, a Mizuno MMC MP20. Lo and behold, I found one for sale here. Identical DG X100 120g shaft, identical new Tour Velvet GP grip, even identical wear marks (center to slightly outside of sweet spot) as my old 8 iron. You know where this is going. I showed up and presented them with my 7 and 9, they acknowledged it was my club, and still charged me retail.
I dunno-is that even legal? Can a pawn shop sell a Rolex from an unverified person? Should I call the Farmer's Branch PD? There's no denying these clubs are part of the same set (8-iron is on top, 9...
Read moreI read many great reviews and had high hopes. I made an order for multiple clubs and three days later, received a message that they were out of one club. I asked for a refund of that club and had them send the other two clubs. Two days later, the order still wasn’t shipped so I called and asked for an update. I was told they would be shipped. Next day, nothing so I called and asked to cancel the order completely. On May 2, I received a refund pending email followed by a shipment email several minutes later. I found it odd that they would ship after I canceled so I called again and they said they weren’t shipping anything. Now, 9 days later, I still haven’t received my refund. 10 years ago, refunds were a process. With today’s technology, they are almost instant or within a few days. I’m not sure what’s going on with this company but this is TERRIBLE business practice all the way around. I hope they can get it together and change the speed by which they operate, especially from a customer service standpoint. I cannot and would not recommend anyone to buy or deal with...
Read moreHands down the greatest purchasing experience I’ve ever had. I’m really new at golf and don’t have enough knowledge to really know what I need or like. Today I went during my lunch break and let the guy helping know I wanted a more forgiving driver that possibly was more draw biased to help me with my slice. The amount of time he took to show me and educate me on the best drivers that fit my needs in the price range I needed with the patience and detail he took was really awesome. He then took me to the sim and kept bringing me a plethora of drivers with different rode stiffness, brands, year it was made, and forgiveness. All completely un rushed. I ended up getting a Callaway sr 16 driver really fair priced that I feel real confident with and can’t wait to take out. Long story short this is one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I can’t wait to go back and get more clubs here and I highly recommend these guys to anyone. (I feel bad I didn’t catch the name of the guy who attended me but he’s a beast super knowledgeable and...
