BUYER BEWARE
Update March 2024 LG came to look at the dishwasher. Surprise, surprise the hose was destroyed!!! The subcontractor ABC Warehouse hired pushed the dishwasher back so far it crushed the drain hose causing the water to backup into the dishwasher. All of this couldāve been discovered had he taken the time to come back and look but NO! ABC Warehouse said they couldnāt help us because we didnāt purchase their warranty. I WILL NEVER shop there again nor will I recommend this store to anyone I know. All of this could be been prevented had human decency and kindness been the first step instead of TELLING me that because I didnāt buy their extended warranty there was nothing that could be done for me. Go somewhere else! Skip the ādiscountā and pay full price and hopefully you receive better customer support.
Purchased an entire appliance suite (refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher) for approx $8k from ABC Warehouse for our new home. The staff were nice and we even caught a holiday sale. We were told everything was brand new so you could imagine my shock when 6 months later the dishwasher stopped draining water and the dirty water would back up into the dishwasher. The first thing I did was check the app and it immediately said there was an installation issue causing the water not to drain. I called LG, we did troubleshoot steps over the phone to do a manual drain and was informed that since they didnāt do the install and that the manual drain worked, I should contact the company who installed the equipment as my first step. I called ABC warehouse back and the sales associate asked ME who did my install. How would I know that when we paid to have their team install (low and behold it was a sub contractor). He said he would call me back because that purchase was made last year (delivery Sep 2023, I called in March 2024) and that info may be hard to find. Needless to say he never called back but my husband played phone tag with some guy for about 2 hours before he put it together that, that was the subcontractor who installed our appliances. The subcontractor then called me (because my husband was at work and I asked him to call me first anyway), asked me to take photos and TEXTED me back and said ābased on the PHOTOS, your equipment is installed properlyā and that I need to call LG back and the ABC Warehouse store manager for the next steps. Called back and the sales associate repeated what the subcontractor said and also said that since we didnāt buy insurance we need to call LG! My husband explained that LG was already called and they explained that because the equipment successfully completed the manual drain and was installed incorrectly (remember the error codes stated this) that they are not liable. The sales associate said he would call back and surprise, surprise never did!! Now you would think after spending approx $8000 in the store that we would have received better customer service but I guess not. Not once did I ask for anything free, I just wanted someone to come out and look at what was installed because AGAIN, the automatic error code said something was INSTALLED WRONG! Now I see why people donāt shop here. When the next appliance goes out Iāll just pay the āregularā price and pray I receive better customer service. Especially when I spend thousands of dollars...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI did not have a customer friendly experience with my refrigerator purchase at this ABC Warehouse. The staff were unorganized and unwilling to help address the issues that they created. Below is a summary of my recent experience:
On October 11, 2019, I visited the store and decided to purchase a fridge. The delivery from ABC took place on Tuesday, October 15. Upon delivery, the drivers damaged the fridge. Also, the fridge had the incorrect kickplate. I called the Sales Rep who assisted me with the purchase, and she agreed to replace the fridge and issue me a $25 check for the inconvenience. I asked whether a new invoice was needed because the original purchase invoice had noted to pick up my old fridge to be sent to DTE, whereas this was a āreplacementā and āreturnā to ABC Warehouse. She indicated there is no need for a new invoice.
On October 16, the replacement fridge was delivered. The delivery crew indicated they are not going to pick up the fridge which was being replaced because the invoice does not indicate to do so. The delivery crew left and I was with two fridges (damaged one and replacement). I called the Sales Rep. and she confirmed she coded the invoice incorrectly, forgetting to indicate the delivery crew should pick up and return the damaged fridge. I now need to make myself available for yet another pickup of the damaged fridge.
Another frustrating part to this experience is when the Sales Rep not knowing what else to say or do, she passed me to the Regional Manager. The Regional Manager then indicated heās going to ārun my credit card againā because I have two of their fridges. The audacity and willingness to say this to a customer after the issue they caused, totally disregarding the inconvenience theyāve caused the customer, not realizing this is due to lack of training/understanding to what needs to be done to properly resolve this issue on their side. The whole purpose of my call is to understand WHY the delivery crew did NOT pick up the fridge which was to be returned. I have no intention of keeping both fridges and need the damaged one picked up.
Save yourself the headache and shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy not so great review is mainly due to our delivery experience we just had. Justin was our salesperson who sold us our fridge, he was pretty nice I guess. We purchased a 33 inch wide GE fridge. The delivery guy, I unfortunately did not get his name, was not friendly at ALL. He didnāt even say hello in response to me greeting him with a hello and smile at the door. We also did not realize that there were instructions for us to be prepared for the delivery. So we did leave a few items in the fridge that needed to be moved away into the garage. Mostly left was my insulin in there because it needs to stay refrigerated. The reaction this delivery guy had to this was really rude, he seemed appalled and said āoh definitely not, Iām not TOUCHING this, Iām SERIOUS, you shouldāve read the pamphlet.ā Well, Justin never told us to read any pamphlet or prepare for delivery, so that wouldāve been nice to know. It took us less than one minute to empty the fridge out while they were prepping our new fridge in the truck. The aggressive reaction was definitely unnecessary. He also said when we told him the fridge needs to be moved to the garage āoh, you guys are killing meā also didnāt seem like he was joking, another unnecessary comment. The other delivery guy who was there was extremely friendly thank goodness or else it wouldāve been a 1 star from me. We were planning on going back to ABC Warehouse for a new stove and washer/dryer, but due to this experience, we will most likely be taking our...
