Banter by Piercing Pagoda — Attraction in Farmington

I was ready to get my nose and ear cartilage pierced today , and began googling places in my area . Unfortunately, Banter never showed up in my search, only Claire’s. I went to Westfarms Mall and was planning on going to Claire’s . I walked in and saw the piercing pagoda/ Banter kiosk. I inquired if they did nose piercings She said they did not, but explained they had a piercing expert, at their sister store, right around the corner. She also said that Claire’s uses a gun, but at Banter they used a needle. She suggested to stop in and speak with Eli , and he can explain the process in detail. I was happy I did. He walked me through everything, took his time to answer all of questions, and made sure I was happy with the position of my piercings. I was looking to upgrade my existing chain ($599) with warranty. I picked out a 759$ chain and was going to get the warranty with that as well. But I was turned away because the chain I wanted to upgrade wasn’t “broken”. In what world does a company not allow a “perfect” condition item to be upgraded, but in the same breathe allow a broken item to be upgraded. I proceed to ask “so I can come back with the chain snapped and you’d do the transaction?”, she says yes. What kind of service is that? I just got my nose pierced at the Westfarms Mall location. Eli is great. He is very organized, makes sure everything is clean and new, talks you through the steps, and makes sure you are happy before he starts to do the piercing. For me personally, I would give it a 1 for pain, but I know everyone is different. If you are thinking of getting a new piercing, Eli is the person you would want to go to.
