Ocean Air Produce — Attraction in Fenwick Island

If you’re visiting Bethany Beach, this produce stand is an ABSOLUTE MUST! I spent a week in Sea Colony with my family and we made 3 separate trips to this location for fresh fruit and veggies. The overall variety and quality of available products was unbeatable. Watermelon was sweet and juicy, tomatoes were plump and ruby red, and the peaches were perfectly ripe and delicious. The meat and dairy section was an added bonus. We found multiple 2lb Delmonico steaks for only $17 (you’d pay $40-$50 at a restaurant for that cut and size)- an amazing value.

While we loved the produce, the service surpassed our expectations as well. Kim at the register was so kind and helpful when bagging and arranging our items and Scott was a great resource when trying to find something specific. They were able to provide a high level of service while maintaining all social distancing and mask requirements due to covid-19.

All in all, a truly special, family oriented establishment! Can’t wait to come...

Let me start with, I wish I had taken pictures! Driving into OC, we stopped here to get peaches. They looked great and I was excited to try them! I bought 6 for a little over $10! When I got home to cut one the knife went straight through seed, not a good sign! The inside of seed was filled with furry looking mold stuff! Obviously, I was not going to eat that, so I moved on to peach #2 ,which sadly produced the same results! Repeated the process for the remaining peaches and all had split seeds with fur inside seed-molding seed! Needless to say, I was NOT happy and felt cheated, but didn't feel like driving back to Bethany for a refund. So my only consolation is to warn prospective buyers to STAY AWAY FROM THE PEACHES! They were awful and inedible, how can anyone sell rotten fruit to public and pretend it's acceptable! Please save your hard earned money and avoid frustration by SKIPPING this place...

Rude staff. Lady took umbrage at me looking at corn ears cause half of them were rotten. She was so obnoxious I asked her if she treats all customers this way. She then muttered about how it doesn’t matter if the top is rotten: “so you eat that part”? “These cost me a dollar each...” I was so take. back with how rude she was I just put them back and walked away while she continued to chastise me.

Maybe find a new line of business if you can’t speak nicely to people who are about to pay you for your goods? Just a thought!

Perhaps she was having a bad day as the other reviews seem glowing but I think I’ll stick to some other farmstands around Bethany from now on. If you plan on getting corn be sure you don’t tick the...
