Foam & Fabrics Outlet — Attraction in Fletcher

Last week I was at Asheville Cotton Co getting new needles for a project but also needed a few yards of jersey. I perused the large selection of beautiful cottons before asking the question that seems counter intuitive to the business name, "Do y'all have anything but Cotton?" They were incredibly sweet and directed me here. It was a haul in traffic down Hendersonville Rd. but it was a nice day out so I made my way over. This is a large space with both fabric and foam. Fabric is easily located under hanging signage that spells out categories. I spent 10 minutes meandering before conceding defeat and asked for help. Despite the assurance they indeed did not have jersey, I wandered around another 10 minutes and found one roll of it and in a blue dinosaur print that suited my project. One star taken off for misdirection or ambivalence (woman was in conversation and didn't seem to want to help) but one added on for the wonderful lady who cut my fabric while singing Meatloaf. Today I went in, I grabbed four bolts for masks, put them on a cart and went to upholstery section. I asked an employee for help, she said she didn't work that section. Then she abruptly, with plenty of rude sauce on it, demanded how I got THAT cart. She said I can't use THAT cart, and she needed it right away to do her job. As she reached for the cart I said sorry and that I would just carry the bolts in my arms since it seemed like such a big emergency, she said "it is". Later while I was in line, the elder lady behind me said how the employees seem to be having a very bad day. I agreed and told her abouy cart getting taken away. Just then the rude worker walked by and said more rude things to me so I decided not to buy anything. Hopefully they'll get rid of her, until today I've always been treating politely in this store, but that was over the top. I...

Needed to get some couch cushions refitted with new foam, saw an ad for here and decided to investigate. This is not the type of place I would normally visit, so it was educational to be sure. Really surprised at the various types of products that they carried above their inventory of fabrics. The foam department has an employee named Tammy that was very helpful in figuring out exactly what I needed and she cut the 4 1/2 inch high density foam to exact dimensions, wrapped and glued material around the foam and filled the casings. Very pleased with the job and thought the pricing was very fair and competitive. All of the staff that I had contact with were very helpful and friendly.
