The Garage On 25 — Local services in Fletcher

Insulting...we pulled up to the store where we have shopped before while traveling through the area over the last few years, only to be disappointed that they were closed. A couple years ago we commissioned one of the artists that showcases his metal work in this shop to create for us “Camera Girl” for my mother (an amateur photographer) for her 85th birthday. My Dad turns 90 in 2020 and I was hoping to spot a unique gift for him in their store. As we sat in the parking lot checking the internet for shops open a man came up to our car asking if the store was closed. He was supposedly trying to sell his saw equipment before leaving the area(down on his luck?). We took down his information to share with friend a carver and craftsman in the area that first introduced us to The Garage. But before getting back into our truck the owner pops out of her closed store yelling you “Red Necks get out of my parking lot”! WOW, talk about a looney liberal coming unglued, she was triggered by my husband’s Confederate flag and showed us her true colors! Yes my husband has family that fought for the Confederates from the great state of VA and I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and we are proud of it! But to call us “red necks” and accuse us of trying to buy stolen goods in her parking area is unacceptable!!! So if you are a proud American and love those that fought for this great country this is NOT the place to shop! Go home DAMN Yankee, may your actions determine your future in the beautiful state of North Carolina where we respect the Confederate Flag and those...

This was a happy accident. I missed a turn and my wonderful boyfriend and his mom were with me. She wanted some coffee so he suggested the pb and Jay Cafe that was on the corner. Well we were super surprised when we pulled up there was a shop connected and ohhhh my!!! She placed her coffee order and then we went shopping. I swear we will come back. We have already planned a trip to come back and go a few other places we saw passing through. In this store there is something for everyone. This was my place!!! I cannot rave about it enough. There were stickers, jewelry, statues, vintage everything, ukuleles, crystal, geodes, I mean seriously just go... they have local artist make a lot of these things. It's really a place to go. Also the coffee and the cookie was FANTASTIC!!! JUST GO.... WHAT ARE YOI...

I hadn’t been in this shop since last Fall and recently went back. There is so much to look at, you couldn’t possibly leave without at least one item. I have been back twice in the past week. There are many different vendors with a little bit of everything from records, vintage clothing and jewelry just to name a few. Everyone has been super friendly when I’ve been in and some of the booths will hold a certain percentage off their items.
