Beautiful beach BUT not worth the hassle. If you aren't aware, the public access area has greatly decreased over the past couple of years. If you use a tent, you must sit in the back. The woman working at the beach takes personal offense to those using tents and will gripe about it the entire time to EVERYONE around you (her leather skin proving she has no use for them.) The children can't use toys (shovels) that have any metal on them (unless you're friends with her, she doesn't seem to notice the issue then.) There were other issues while we were there; but it's honestly just not worth it. We live here and haven't been in a while, but wanted check it out again since our guests really enjoy the restaurant across the street.... we unloaded and set up only to reload and leave. There are plenty of beautiful beaches without the extra drama.

I was unaware until after we left that this particular "beach ambassador" told other members of our party her intentions of moving us closer to the party in front of us was to specifically crowd them. She said she had ashtray asked them to move up and they would not. She said that was "disrespecting the beach" and she wanted to "show them ".

Side note: if you look at my other reviews, you'll see I usually don't like to leave negative reviews. But, I feel this situation warranted it. I would hate for other families to have the...

The county has done a nice job with this beach, playing the best hand theyve been delt, trying to create a nice location while the locals do all they can to make you never come back. Locals who "own" the beach and wont let anyone use it are the worst. They love the tax revenue but hate the people that bring it to their town. This beach crams hundreds of people into these tiny spaces, fenced in with multiple signs that meet you at the entrance, reminding you of the open miles of beach that you see, may not be used. Our tiny beach cubical is then divided into tents and umbrellas, where rented umbrellas get the best spots in our cage, and actual parking cones line the beach telling you where you can and cannot go. They literally have hired a "beach steward" that goes around trying to uphold the rules like a metermaid. Its a joke. The King of Karen's must run this place. Once all the tourist leave and the businesses close up, I hope these locals finally feel complete and enjoy their sandbox alone with no friends. Dont come to Santa Rosa, unless you like to spend big money to still feel unwelcome. Oh, and the parking sucks so be prepared to hoof it in the sun for about a mile, carrying all your stuff, to get to your 5'x5' square. This place is tone deaf to just being respectful to...

Very nice place to visit the beach! Good parking, nice restrooms and they have a really good area to wash the sand off of yourself and your belongings. There is a really good handicap ramp for those that need it. They also have a staff member right on the beach that you can rent umbrellas and chairs from. You have to do it with cash though. A lifeguard is also on duty right at the entrance! The beach is beautiful white sand with hardly any shells so I went barefoot the whole time! The only downside is that it really isn't that large of a beach. It is right in the middle of two private beaches, so it might get crowded fast. We arrived at 11 and left at 1:30 because it was about 97 degrees. A steady flow of people were arriving and leaving so I didn't see any issue with crowding but it probably does happen. All-in-all it was a very...

It was PERFECT. There are very close stairs and a wheelchair accessible ramp, down to the sand. THEN There are those rubber mat ramps that lead almost directly to the ocean!! Makes it so much easier to walk and roll coolers and of course, wheel chairs. Nice clean bathrooms, NO nails or screws sticking out lol. Was really packed, but it was just a nice Family oriented atmosphere. My new favorite spot ❤️ (Back story, I cut my foot wide open @ Richard B Seltzer Park in PCB, last week. I parked right beside the ramp and left my flip flops in the car. Well. Walking head strong towards the beach is NOT GOOD FOR the ball of your foot when there's a sharp screw head sticking out a good 1/2-3/4 inch. I kicked it and it ripped off half the middle part of my foot, right underneath my toes 😔 I'm so glad it happened to me and not one of the kids!?

It has a large, clean bathroom where you can change into swimsuits and shower if you wish. There are steps and a ramp down to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but it is crowded with folks sunbathing. There were red flags when we wen,so no one could wade or swim, because of strong waves and riptides. If you entered the water, you'd be fined $ 500.00. Parking is limited. Not many spaces. A police officer told us that we had to go around to park, yet a car ran in the wrong direction and snatched the space we were going to. I do not see one Shell.on the beach, but sand was clean and.white. we did see several dead man of war jelly fishes on the beach.
