Such a great spot. Clean area, free parking, good fishing. Black Dog Bait & Tackle is 11 minutes away and a good spot for bait.

If you got a kid or first timer with you and you want to get them excited, head to Melbourne Beach Pier around sunrise and you're guaranteed to catch catfish nonstop, do yourself a favor after they scratch that itch, get over here as early as possible to make the most of your time and bait and get some drum (can't keep them at any size in the area)...

One of the smaller parks that are set around town for public enjoyment. This one has a very nice location with water views that are worth visiting and coming back again. Place is mostly used for fishing or for parking to do cardio exercise on the bridge path. I saw one covered pavillion with couple picnic tables, no grill. There's one portable restroom. Nice small park to relax. There are homeless people cooking, and chilling in the park. The Daily Bread is not far away so I assume that’s why the homeless visit the park. I don’t mind them, they mind their business and you should mind yours. The city of Melbourne should find shelter for low income and homeless people. You can fish under the causeway.
