Beautiful, free park. To all of the ignorant people bad mouthing the homeless who stay there, well maybe one day you will become homeless too, then you will become enlightened as to how it feels to be homeless and the struggle, and why going to a beautiful peaceful park is such a blessing and peace of mind in their tragic life from whatever may have caused it, or a tragic moment that changed everything, and could happen at ANY point in anybody's life. So be cautious to all who judge, you will be there one day. Some are running from a violent partner, some cannot get into the already full capacity shelters around this town and others from the hurricanes, other people live there because housing is extremely expensive yet so is traveling to more affordable towns, some are there because of mental illness which makes it very difficult to hold onto a job so you lose your home etc. Others have lost their jobs and this made them lose their home etc, this reason is why people shouldn't buy such big expensive houses cars ect because if you do lose your job homelessness can happen. Some do love the van life, so they stay to enjoy their surroundings like many others. So many reasons. But one of the less than 1% reason is "up to no good, shady ppl". Whoever writes those kinds of reviews are just...

Today 11/27/2024 I visited this park I wanted to medal detect the small beach area. There was a sign stating Health Concerns about water. Do not eat fish reads one line. Another line reads how to clean and cook the fish. There is NO signs saying beach is closed only a warning about not eating the fish even the same sign states how to clean and eat the fish. Around 150pm an older man worker came up to me and demanded we get off the beach because is quarantine off for closure I pointed out the signs only states about fish and the danger of eating the fish also pointed out next line about cooking and cleaning the fish he demanded we leave. Next time I am going to make him call Police it's a public beach park there is NO signs stating beach is cleared. This man has to be a liberal. Every beach beach in Collier county is Open. It's funny I can't medal detect but you stand on the dock and fish even tho there a sign saying don't eat the fish. Really who made this crap up. I have called the office and...

Where do I even start... This is definitely the BEST park I’ve been in my entire life... and believe me when I say this because I’ve been to so many different parks but this one... This park is truly PERFECT!

Starting with the 62 acres in TOTAL this park covers.. It really is the perfect park to go for a jog, a walk, spend some time outside and admire nature...

In one side, it has like an “artificial beach” where you can go and swim in the lake but the feeling is just exactly like being on a beach because of the palm tress and sand that’s around...

And for jogging, it really is the perfect place for it. If I lived near here, I would definitely come here 4 days a week AT LEAST!

It’s totally WORTH visiting this...

We have been exploring the walking trails in Collier County and had read about this park so we checked it out today. The main entrance is off rt41 opposite Lakewood Blvd. There a 70 acre lake with a paved walking trail that goes around it. There is a beautiful sandy beach and playground for the kids. Boating, fishing , water skiing....what a recreational area! There are even bleachers for water skiing events. But we were there to walk and the trail around the lake is maybe two miles, very scenic. Bikers use it also. Plenty of parking. Nice facilities. And.....it wasn't crowded !! We highly recommend this park.

This was a unique park. A big freshwater lake that you can swim in, with a beach area. They have docks, and a few playground areas for children. Pavilions are located throughout the park and also have a butterfly garden centrally located by the entrance gate. Some spots are rather secluded if you are looking for alone time. The park is patrolled by park rangers. A rather loud and obnoxious horn is blown when a storm is nearby, and lightning is a threat. You immediately must vacant the water, if you don't listen to it, the ranger will be enforcing the rule. But it is a rather pleasant park to visit.
