Games Workshop — Attraction in Forest Acres

3 times I have visited this place and all were great experiences thanks to David.

My first visit, when I was still unsure if I wanted to get into Warhammer, David was content to let me browse and chat about the hobby, and didnt pressure me into making a purchase.

My second visit I came for their free mini and painting lesson. David made the most intimidating aspect of the hobby look easy and I had a great time learning how to paint. He also helped me select some minis and supplies for a newbie.

My third visit was a brief one, but I was travelling and since I dont live in Columbia, had a small window of opportunity during the trip swing by the store and pickup my ordered items. David happily worked with my and my odd schedule to make sure I was able to stop by and pickup my order without affecting our overall itenerary.

Made an hour drive to stop in and it was worth every second. David was fantastic and I could not be more impressed. He taught my 6 year old and my teenager how to play their very first game of Warhammer ( the looks on their faces as the dice flew and the battle commenced was worth every second). Once that was done he taught them how to build and paint. This is the experience I was hoping for and he delivered in spades! I’ve been consuming digital Warhammer 40K media for 2 years now and finally decided to take the leap into the tabletop portion of the hobby by visiting this location. To preface, I grapple with social anxiety so stepping outside my comfort zone in this way was understandably nerve racking yet one of the managers, David, cultivated an incredibly welcoming environment with a positive attitude and wealth of Warhammer knowledge/lore.
