We recently dined at Pasta Fresca, located at 4722 Forest Dr, Columbia, SC 29206, and it was an outstanding experience. We began our meal with the Loaded Bread, featuring fresh garlic spread on daily-baked French bread topped with a blend of Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, toasted until bubbly. It was a fantastic start to the evening. We also tried the Hand-Breaded Calamari, which was crispy and delicious, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. For the main course, we had the Southwest Chicken served with fettuccini noodles. The chicken, combined with roasted red peppers, green onions, and Roma tomatoes in a cilantro-mint white wine butter sauce, was fantastic. We opted for a substitution with spicy marinara sauce, which added an extra kick. We also enjoyed the Seafood Gorgonzola, which included southeastern wild-caught shrimp and scallops sautéed with sliced mushrooms, green onions, and roasted red peppers. This was finished in a rich gorgonzola cream sauce and served with spinach pasta and a house salad. The flavor profile was superb, and the spinach pasta complemented the dish perfectly. At Pasta Fresca, you have the option to choose your pasta and spice level for all dishes, and you can pair your meal with either a house salad or soup. The atmosphere is vibrant, and this is the place to be if you enjoy live music. The combination of a lively environment and exceptional pasta makes Pasta Fresca a must-visit spot in Columbia. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience! There is no...
Read moreI was highly offended and disappointed in the customer service provided by the female at the front desk and the “owner”, long story short. My family was racially profiled tonight. The cops were called on a felonious claim which caused our family much humiliation and embarrassment. My uncle an African American older male simply asked the front desk lady about the menu inwhich he was not familiar with and for some reason she responded, “you’re making me uncomfortable”, of course he was taken back and very much so embarrassed. He then walks over to me and my fiancé and states the girl at the front desk said I made her uncomfortable, a couple seconds later we see a guy come from the back, gazing over at us, he proceeds to walk over, point at my uncle, demands him to come here and states let’s talk outside, RED FLAG! Due to this guys actions, of course it caused a scene by pointing not once but 3 times at my uncle,y uncle wasn’t hostile at all, but long story short. While this was happening the front desk lady had been on the phone with cops ever since the “owner” was staring at us from the kitchen, no later than 5mins. If THAT! 4 forest acres police officers were called! How embarrassing!! and when the “owner” was asked about the incident he stuttered and spewed false information. Im highly offended, embarrassed and hurt! I use to frequent pasta Fresca, I grew up in the area and decided to drop in tonight. But I will never EVER PATRONIZE this business...
Read moreMy family, and I, dined at Pasta Fresca after going to the mall for Santa pictures. We had a reservation, and our table was promptly ready when we arrived at a packed restaurant. There was a palpable feeling of “Yuletide Cheer” in the air. We were greeted by the hostess with a smile. They placed us in the far corner table, near the bar. I got the feeling that the chose this table to be more amenable for our three year-old. He is “all gas and no breaks,” so it really assisted in helping us, to prevent him, from disturbing other patrons. Our server was professional. Our food was brought out hot, and as timely as possible for a Saturday night at 7 PM. They had no problem accommodating an order for several to-go deserts. The restaurant really has a “neighborhood feel,” and I’m not being hyperbolic. We turned around to the table behind us and struck up a conversation with the two couples seated there. I’ve been coming to the restaurant for years, at the old location, as well as the location that was in Irmo, and since the new proprietors have taken over. They haven’t missed a beat, and I have no problem recommending them as a great “local pasta restaurant” that is a good value for your hard...
