Lakes Floral, Gift & Garden — Attraction in Forest Lake

I normally don’t complete these requests, however Lakes Floral went above and beyond for myself and 8 of my neighbors recently. So, I feel the need to share our experience. One of our neighbors was taken to the hospital and had an extensive emergency surgery. She was in ICU after surgery. Then scheduled to be moved to Room 349 the next day. Nine of us neighbors went together to send her a floral bouquet from Lakes Floral. We were told that they would deliver it the following day. When the delivery arrived at the hospital, the driver was told the recipient was still in ICU and they couldn’t accept the flowers. Lakes Floral contacted me and said I should let them know once our friend was actually moved to her regular hospital room and they would go back with the bouquet for her. Sadly, several days went by and she was never moved out of ICU, only because there were no available open rooms. Finally, after one week in ICU she was discharged. When I called Lakes Floral to let them know she was home. They offered to deliver a new fresh bouquet to her home at no extra charge. After utilizing services for floral arrangements from Lakes Floral for several years, and having my Mother’s Day floral arrangement from here in 2022, we will be thinking long and hard before we order further from this establishment.

I had called to order a wrist corsage last week and was asked to call back. I called back on 5/7 and was told they “couldn’t take my order as they were swamped for Mother’s Day (understandable) and could I call back next week”. I called back today, Tuesday, per Lakes Floral request and was told they would not take my order because they were “maxed out”.

Having followed their directions on calling back at every turn to be told, “no they wouldn’t take my order”, was an extremely poor customer service experience.

They do great work but you may want to think of other options if they give you the brush off the first time you call, because it most likely will not be an available service when you call back, even though they are the ones who directed you to do so. Disappointing to...

I wasn't actually present to accept the gift, since I sent them to my best friend. But the fact that they 1. Delivered the flowers the day after I ordered them and 2. Drove from Flake to Golden Valley are both very good reasons for a 5-star review. Unfortunate circumstances led to her not being able to attend our V-Day celebrations, so this is the next best thing. I'm excited for her to get home and see her present. I just want to thank Lakes Floral for providing stupendous service and in a timely manner, to boot.
