Ever since they opened I've been a loyal customer The reason I'm giving three stars is because the State farmers market has excellent customer services everyone except for this store that I am reporting La Huerta I've spent thousands of dollars because I've always used herbs for myself and family as well as having had a Restaurant The owner did not seem to understand English so I would show her what I was looking for on my phone and she was always very pleasant write me a receipt etc During the pandemic her daughter asked me what was I doing with the rose petals and I told her I have a she followed my rabbit on Instagram and explained that they have a farm in braselton Last week I went to get my regular supply and the older lady who worked there said no and I asked for every single thing. I showed her my phone with the translation and she said no to salvia Every other question was No there were four people working in each person I spoke to said no to everything that I tried to communicate even by the English Spanish translation The reason this was so disturbing is because the same daughter I spoke to during the pandemic was there and pretended not to speak one word of English I guess she had forgotten that we had a long conversation which she initiated and spoke perfect English during that time I waited for the owner because I knew I had just seen her and figured she was in the area. After about 15 minutes she did appear and I continually show them the door that she went in asking to speak withger. They continually pretend that they did not know what I was gesturing and eventually saw that I was calmly and patiently waiting for her so they decided to go ask. The response was that she was busy and I asked when would she be able to see me? The answer was maybe 30 minutes maybe more they don'tknow. That wasn't plain English by the way I grew up around Hispanics living on the border of Mexico near San Diego We were always friends and I have always done business with them since wherever I can This experience has hurt me because I was nothing but a decent a-list customer. I believe that is because I'm African-American that they automatically decided to say no to everything I asked I'm not sure when the policies have change but I will not be back to that location there are plenty of other businesses that sell fresh herbs that my money as well as give me good customer service on a continual basis I have shopped with almost every merchant in the State farmers market over the years some have even given me their numbers at home Shame on LA...
Read moreIt might not look like it from the appearance but this place is a gem but ONLY if you want / like fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants and meat and dont mind making a little jaunt to Forest Park. Of course you can always hit your nearest grocery store and deal with the long lines and overpriced food. They have rows and rows of very friendly vendors vying for your dollars (and some of the ladies are very pretty which is an added bonus! 😉) They sell all varieties of fruit and veggies at a very reasonable cost; for example, I purchased 2 pineapples, a big bag of grapes (approximately 3 lbs), a bag of oranges (5) AND 2 bunches of asparagus for $15. I would have paid MUCH more at Kroger, Walmart, Publix etc. Then there is the wholesale outlet they have on the premises that sells all kinds of stuff IN BULK at reasonable prices but in all fairness, you can find most of whats sold there a bit more cost effective elsewhere but it should definitely be considered. THEN they have a section within the Wholesale outlet where they sell HUGE packs of stuff from steaks and ox tails to chicken and pork chops. Clearly I am a fan of this place, and not just because my family lives there but because it is a great place to shop that not nearly enough people even know about. Lest I forget to mention the fact that they also have an area where you can but plants, trees, bushes and all types of shrubbery and finally, I dare not forget to mention that they also have a phenomenal array of very affordable christmas trees that they sell beginning Thanksgiving Day of every year. Do yourself a favor and...
