Osswald Park — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

Cool little hang out spot for teens and kids. Good for short jogging in field or around the field. water area nearby...however it's fenced off. There are plenty huge iguanas here btw....so if you don't like lizards in general, you may want to stay away or you may walk into one. They are all in the trees, on the ground etc...2-3 feet iguanas at times. Otherwise park seems nice and has a building where you can go in to use computer or vending...

Nice in the warm weather because of the splash pad. My sons can cool off without having to deal with the sand and traffic on the beach. The equipment is under a canopy which is always a plus. Restrooms are a bit far if there is a camp in session, and it seems like one or another of the water apparatuses is always not working. I visited recently and it seems like they have been repairing and upgrading so maybe it will move...

The park itself is great. Nice area to work up a sweat with the outdoor gym and the walking track. Has an amazing kiddie splash area for those hot days out with the family. What I don't like is that we have to walk all the way to the library just to use the bathroom when they have 2 perfectly working bathrooms by each pavilion. That's very inconvenient for our kids, my wife and i. But overall great location to book...
