I am absolutely appalled at my experience with Thriveworks. Due to a change in insurance, I was seeking a new psychiatrist to prescribe my usual medications that I have been taking and have worked wonderfully for me. I was unfortunate enough to have seen Salacia Cunningham. There is one medication that I have been taking for 25 years that she refused to prescribe to me. This is not a controlled or addictive substance and actually quite a common medication. Salacia told me that she didn't feel comfortable prescribing my usual dose of this medication. She wrongfully stated that this is a medication that is used on patients at state hospitals. I am in the mental health field and that could not be furthest from the truth. Like I said it is quite common. This medication gave me my life back and for 25 years I have not had any issues with any psychiatrists prescribing this for me. I think it's dangerous and irresponsible to tell a patient to stop taking a medication that improved my life for many many years. Even more dangerous is quitting this medication cold turkey or reducing the medication to a very low dose. Now that she did not prescribe it, I may experience symptoms such as dizziness, chills, insomnia, vomiting, anxiety, depression and SUICIDAL THOUGHTS! This is the most dangerous and irresponsible thing that a healthcare provider can do to someone. If any of these symptoms materialize I will be contacting an attorney. Salicia has no business being in this field. I want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing therapists. My husband and I both have a therapist through this practice. I was initially hesitant because it has a doc-in-the-box feel to it but my therapist Victoria Baca Villagomez is amazing, with good boundaries, stays on track, efficient with our time, clear (explains things in a way I can understand) and provides structure all of which help me feel save when sharing vulnerable information. She also has awareness of the group Adult Children of Alcoholics/dysfunctional families which is a BIG plus in my book. I have lots of experience with good and bad therapists over my lifetime and she is a great one. The only thing that I am not sure about is the billing. It is covered by my insurance BCBS but I haven't gotten a bill yet and it has been 4 weeks with 4 therapist appointments. It does have a balance paid by insurance but nothing else. More clarity in this area would be much appreciated. I am still giving it 5 stars because the therapists are worth while, easy to find and the process to get in and an appointment is quick and...
