Shahs of Kabob in Fort Lauderdale had been open for several months when I made my first visit. I didn’t have many expectations beyond the usual for a dining establishment. I found it difficult to categorize the place—is it a restaurant, a cafe, or a fast food joint? It’s not a restaurant, as there is no host to assign seating. It’s not a cafe, as they primarily serve full meals rather than light snacks. It’s not fast food either, since the food is prepared and cooked to order. When we arrived on a Saturday night, all the tables were occupied except for one high-top table. With no host in sight, I approached the cashier. The staff were busy answering phone orders, so I spoke to one of the crew about the table. She assured me she would clean it. While waiting for them to finish the calls, we reviewed the menu and asked the cashier for recommendations. After about 5 to 10 minutes, we placed our order and paid. Surprisingly, the table still hadn’t been cleaned, so we continued to wait. Once seated, it took a while to receive our drinks—just water. We ordered a "Loaded" salad without onions, but it arrived with onions. Initially, we considered picking them out, but ultimately sent it back. Despite the service issues, the Joojeh we ordered was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, though the service needs improvement. The atmosphere felt more like a fast food place, yet we noticed other patrons were served at their tables, from ordering to paying. I hope next time they can improve their service.

Shahs of Kabob has some of best kabobs I’ve tried in the Fort Lauderdale area. The service is fast, friendly and the food hits the mark every time. They recently opened this location and I’m so glad they did. If you’re looking for a lighter dish I’d recommend a Joojeh (chicken) or Koobideh (ground beef & lamb) wrap. These are simple yet flavorful kabobs wrapped up with veggies. These plates are served with rice, salad or half and half. The rice is amazing!!! I literally could eat a plate of rice alone. It’s cooked perfectly. The cucumber, tomato, red onion salad is lightly drizzled with red wine vinegar and sprinkled with salt and pepper. They have some great sauces to add to your meal if you need a little extra something but I can’t say enough that the simplicity of their meals is what makes them so delicious. The tea is also a pleasant treat and I would recommend ordering a tea to go with a variety of desserts which are from Sweet Manifesto. What an awesome collaboration! If they’re not sold out I would try the Baklava Cheesecake!!!!! Combing Baklava and cheesecake is genius. The portions are huge and can easily be shared. The location itself is clean and light. Shahs of Kabob doing it right, keeping it simple & about the food and that’s what has made me a regular.

1/5/2025-big welcome when You walk in. Small cute open place . We sat at table n Moe came over and took our order . I had the Joojeh 1- skewer of marinated chicken. It comes with rice , salad or you could do half-and-half which I did and it was not cheap at all the amounts they gave you. G had the Koobideh Wrap 1- mixed beef and lamb mixed together. A few people came in after us. Food was good . I believe the server was not a seasoned server. He could have told us the different wraps. Plus let us know that all the meat's are no steroids no antibiotics. That should've been his first line , but he was pleasant. He kept coming back and checking on us. Us ,the food was good. Oh there were 3 sauces on table. I liked the garlic mayo. G like the other.

The Ultimate Persian Kebab Experience in the USA

I've embarked on a culinary journey across the United States, tasting Persian kebabs in every state, and let me tell you, this restaurant is a hidden gem with the absolute best kebabs I've ever had! Every bite is a testament to the skill and passion they put into their food.

The flavors are unmatched, with spices perfectly balanced and the meat tender and succulent. Each kebab is grilled to perfection, leaving a slightly smoky flavor that's simply irresistible. You can tell they use the highest quality ingredients, with fresh vegetables and expertly marinated meat, all speaking of a dedication to freshness and flavor.

Not only are these kebabs the best in flavor, but they also come at a very reasonable price. The portions are generous, making it a fantastic value for the money. The atmosphere is inviting and warm, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always eager to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of perfect.

I've visited multiple times, and each visit has been consistently excellent, which is something to be commended in the restaurant industry. If you're ever in the area or even within a few hundred miles, do yourself a favor and stop by. This is, hands down, the best kebab spot in the USA, and it deserves all the recognition it can get. Highly...

We were excited to try a different place for different food. Upon arriving we were excited, approached the counter to order not knowing we could have sat down to order our food which was fine. Ordered our food and had a seat by the counter area to the left. We sat down and noticed dirty floor with food thrown on floor and a couple of dirty tables where we could see what the last customers had eaten but had left well before we arrived. Unfortunately as we sat and waited for our food, we noticed that the front counter young lady was not at the front counter much and other customers who had entered to order had to keep waiting to be serviced. At one point a young lady from the back came out to assist but seemed rather lost and confused. The front counter young lady at one point took an order and proceeded to make food at the food prep area not having washed hands or never put gloves on to prepare food. Let’s no mention long hair was not hygiene safe to have down and flowing while preparing food. The cake or fess case was not appealing with cake frosting and unkept food particles all over the case. I do have to say that the food was great and perfectly prepared by the cook but because of the unsafe food preparation and the front counter service we will not recommend or return to this establishment. The Health Department may want to...
