Zenko Spa & Massage — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

Hit or miss. Inconsistent quality. I have been here three times. The first two visits were very good. The therapists were friendly and the massage was very relaxing.

The facility is very nice offering clean and modern tables and nice decor.

The visit I had today was disappointing. I paid about $130 for a 55 minute Swedish massage. And while I explained I was looking for more relaxation, the massage was at times more like a physical therapy session than a relaxing massage, with stretching and frequent dialogue. Hot stones were suddenly used without first asking me if that was ok, startling me during the treatment.

But most disappointing is that, before the massage began I listed the areas I wanted the massage to focus on and said my head, neck and shoulders were the most important. The therapist immediately told me that I had to pay extra for my scalp / head to be massaged during the 55 minute session I had booked. When I lightly pushed back, and explained my head was one of the main areas of focus, I was told not to worry it would be worked in. I felt like this was a total money grab, after I had already booked a non cancellable treatment and had already gone back to a room.

I was very surprised as I’ve previously had many massages at different spas around the world and this was an experience unlike the others I have had. In fact, this is the first negative review I’ve made of any massage or spa, ever.

Also, during my prior two visits, the first of which was an identically booked treatment, I made the same request of the therapist and they spent about 40 or 50% of the massage focused on those areas.

I was disappointed as the treatment did not focus on the areas I had requested. There was maybe 2 or 3 minutes of scalp massage, (after I said that was the most important thing). When I politely made the spa aware of some of these issues at checkout, I was offered a 10% discount and given some excuses that...

As a man I have always been skeptical about spa and massages, it has never been my thing. But today I've decided to take my russian wife (she is very very picky and meticulous) as an anniversary gift. And let me tell you, I'll do skateboard necessary to keep coming more often 😂 The massage I was given by Annie (from Thailand 🇹🇭) was out of this galaxy. You don't understand how good of a massage was that! It was strong, firm, relaxing, with multiple techniques, stretching and with high quality oils.If you need a massage you MUST ask for Annie, you MUST, you OWE it to yourself. Thank you so much Annie!!! OK, moving on to my facial massage/treatment. The last that took care of the facial was Yedid. Very caring, friendly and knowledgeable person. She explains everything to the most minimum detail, my face feel completely different, she gave me a lift, it's unbelievable. She will give you professional recommendations on how to take good care of your face while helping you feel comfortable and relaxed. Let me spend some time to talk about the place itself. As soon as you cross the front door, a fresh breeze of relaxing air hits you. It is a soothing calming place, the front desk ladies are very welcoming and caring. They will walk you through the process, prices, anything you need. It is a high quality place, they really care about you and never rush you or pressure you to buy products or nothing. They are all about making sure you feel great, you can see that's their number one policy, caring for their customers. As of my wife.... well, she LOVED it even more, she will write her own review and experience.
