We were in the area for the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. I saw Jeff Dunham's post about the museum just after we planned our trip to the Ark, discovered the museum was nearby so decided we had to check it out. Although I was the only one who initially wanted to go, everyone in our group loved it. We were all pleasantly surprised. Our guide was personable, patient, understanding, and very knowledgeable! He was so engaging and elaborated on so many interesting items. For example, one of the real Lambchops was on display right now sent by Shari Lewis's daughter. He pointed out things that may have gone unnoticed otherwise. His tour was thoroughly enjoyable. We appreciated that it was a small group and our guide took time with us and personalized our tour.

After a week in Ohio I was trying to fill my last day with something odd or different to do. Reddit sent me here and I’m so happy I came. Our curator, Lisa, was a doll. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was so infectious. It’s not a long tour but you get so much out of it. There’s nothing creepy about it so don’t let the uncanny look of the dummies/puppets deter you. Everything was so polished and well put together. And the groups are small. I really enjoyed my group. You do need to book on line so you can’t really just drop in but booking was easy. I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever back up North. Thank you, Lisa!

This is an amazing journey through an art form that has made us all laugh. Whether you’re a Jeff Dunham or Darci-Lynne fan or you remember Shari Lewis or Edgar Bergen, there is something here for you! The museum has just opened in a new space and the displays are so well some. Catch the video in the Dunham Family Theater. The tours are by appointment, so call ahead. You will not regret a visit. Right off the highway just outside Cincinnati.

My daughter and I and our friends Terri and Scott visited the Vent Haven Museum this morning and had a 5 star experience! Fantastic collection of vintage to modern ventriloquist performance figures, photographs, props, posters and more from the world of ventriloquism. I hesitate calling them dummies because each figure has a story to tell, a unique personality, and a partner that they shared the stage and adventures with. Our personal tour guide was Lisa Sweasy the Curator / Director of the museum. Needless to say Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable on the history of the museum, it’s founder, William Shakespeare (W. S.) Berger, the collection of 900 plus figures, and the art and craft of ventriloquism. We were part of a small group of about 12 so there was plenty of opportunity to learn about ventriloquism and ask questions. I highly recommend you visit Vent Haven Museum! Call and schedule a tour with this unique one of a kind...
