The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe — Attraction in Fort Oglethorpe

My mother-in-law moved to Rosewood from another facility about two months ago. We have been thrilled with the change. She is in independent living at this point, but we expect that will change in the coming months or years. It is a comfort to know she will not need to move again in order to receive the care she needs for her situation. The facility is nice and very clean. Even though she is independent, the staff checks on her and helps her order her meals 2-3 times a day. When she had a day of confusion, they were quick to call us so we could go talk to her and reassure her. She likes the food and enjoys eating meals with her new friends. Housekeeping is great at cleaning her apartment and doing her laundry. It is not inexpensive; however, it is reasonably priced for the location, service, quality of care, and condition of the facility. Also, it is less expensive than her previous retirement home across the state line that wasn’t nearly as nice and where she had no help from the staff. I will rudely say that if you work here, DONT. They will exploit employee businesss to residence/patients at this assisted living. My fiancé calls me CRYING because she was humiliated by the dietary aide in front of everyone. I call and HR and Owner of the place threatened to sue her because she told me what they did. LET ME REMIND YOU GREG, OWNER. YOU HAD A UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGERS SIDE WHEN HE TALKED TO THE RESIDENTS ABOUT AN EMPLOyee BUT THREATEN TO SUE HER FOR CALLING ME BC CONRAD OR WHOEVER THE DIATERY AIDE IS YELLS AT HER “WHO ARE YOU GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN” she had no idea why had happened but she had proof she called and texted her boss. Very happy to write this review… I recently have had to deal with a parent with dementia and I have to say out of all the places I contacted I was the most impressed with Rosewood and the staff there. They were very understanding about our circumstances and went out of their way to help us during a very trying time. I love each and every one they have been wonderful to me and my father. Very hard to make good decisions when faced with a loved one with this disease and they did everything they could to make those hard decisions easier for me.
