First time visiting this new location as I just moved to the area (visited the mall location once before). I had a somewhat similar experience as the individual who left the one star review. Took the staff at least 15 minutes after entering the store to ask if I needed anything. My Anglo friend (I am not. Obviously, based on my review) who walked in with me but parted ways shortly after entering got asked almost immediately. I wouldn’t have thought much about that, nor would I be leaving this review, if not for my interaction with one associate. I consider myself a well dressed man and enjoy wearing Kühl clothing to the point where probably 60% of my wardrobe is comprised of their clothes. As this one particular associate was about to open a fitting room for me, she noticed I was wearing a Kühl jacket they happen to carry in the store. She asked me if I got the jacket for Christmas. Apparently she didn’t think I could have afforded it on my own. Even then, I didn’t think much of it. However, she kept looking at the clothes I was carrying and appeared to take interest in what I was or was no longer carrying coming out of the fitting room. So, it finally, after giving the associate and the store the benefit of the doubt, dawned on me what was going on and how insulting her question regarding my jacket was. I’m a professional and have a PhD, and for some young ignorant associate to insult me when I’m trying to enjoy my shopping experience with a friend is unacceptable. I don’t need to be monitored and certainly don’t need to be insulted as I’m shopping. I will not be shopping here again. The only reasons I’m giving them two stars is because a couple of the other associates were friendly and they carry many of the products I like. Really wish this wasn’t so commonplace and accepted.
Updated based on management response: While my review may sound harsh, I’m not sure what else you would call this if not ignorance (outright racism? Unconscious bias?). You be the judge but, regardless, it’s defenseless. Granted my description of the associate may have been harsh as well, that was my opinion of her. Management should try to understand that this goes beyond the question I was asked alone. Monitoring (and yes, that’s what she did) certain individuals makes for a very uncomfortable shopping experience. And management shouldn’t chalk it up to “misunderstandings”, especially when issues like this have occurred...
Read moreI purchased a pair of Hoka shoes a few months ago great young guy that helped us and knew his stuff. My doctor sent me back in there to get some inserts also and there was a really nice young girl in there trying to help us but while she's trying to help us this older other lady that worked there is standing over mine and my husband's shoulder not saying nothing staring us down and making us very very uncomfortable looking at us like we're about to rob the place and I'm just trying to get shoe inserts we were going to purchase them but she made us so very uncomfortable even after we decided just to leave she was following us and finally said something to my husband about shoes when we already had somebody helping us and our whole way out the door and after we went out the door she's staring us down like we did something wrong people like that shouldn't be working in places that they can't be nice to the public so since that lady was the way she was with me and my husband we are just going to go over to true grit my husband was also going to purchase a pair of hokas thanks to that old lady y'all missed out on getting almost $300 from us if the owners of the store truly care about their store in this customers y'all would deal with her I would have been giving five stars but now you're only getting three and I'm only giving three because of the young man and the young woman...

My first thought was, I should leave right then, but I didn’t. She told me I needed to buy an 10-11 size and cut it to fit my shoe, I wear 8 1/2. My feet are so bruised from wearing them to work.
