I first visited the new Delta Lounge in Concourse G at MSP two years ago, and I was blown away. It was spotless, the food was excellent, and you could tell the team took pride in creating a quality experience. Unfortunately, it’s been on a steady decline ever since.
I pass through MSP twice a year, and on my most recent visit, the experience was a major letdown. The food selection was uninspired and unappetizing — an entire buffet of tired-looking Asian dishes that seemed like they’d been sitting out far too long. Their version of a bánh mì was just a soggy slice of French bread with one piece of zucchini and a few shredded carrots. The white rice — which should be handled with care for food safety — was improperly managed. Instead of discarding the old rice, staff stirred it right into a new steaming batch, risking contamination.
Cleanliness was another issue. Plates had visible food residue, the floors weren’t well-kept, and the dessert station attracted more flies than guests. Worst of all, the whole place gave off a subtle “we don’t care anymore” vibe — not what you want when paying $50 for access.
Even the once-great snack game has vanished. What used to be a generous variety of grab-and-go options is now reduced to a sad jar of half-eaten nuts and pretzels — with nothing available to take with you.
With plenty of other lounges, quiet corners, and better food options in the terminal, this lounge is no longer worth the cost. A real shame, considering how promising...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the Delta Sky Club in Concourse G in September 2023, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. This lounge has undergone a significant renovation, and the results are truly impressive.
The first thing I noticed was the location, a bit of a walk from other Sky Clubs, but let me assure you, it's worth every step. The lounge has received a complete makeover, and it shows. They now boast two full bars with an extensive selection of drinks, ensuring you can find your favorite beverage.
The seating areas are thoughtfully organized into three distinct sections: an inviting entrance area, a mid-seating space adjacent to bar 1, and an area with a stunning view of the runway, bathed in natural sunlight. The food options were relatively nice, and I have to mention their apple pie, which was simply exceptional.
The decor in this lounge is sublime, featuring beautiful paintings, intricate ceiling designs, and wave-enabled doors that add a touch of modern elegance. I was thoroughly impressed with these much-needed upgrades.
If you're considering a visit to the Delta Sky Club in Concourse G, I highly recommend it. Despite the walk, you won't regret the experience. The renovations have elevated this lounge to a new level of comfort and style, making it a perfect haven for travelers seeking relaxation...
Read moreSecond time at a Delta Lounge and so far this one takes the cake!
I love how the lounges are never too packed. Makes it more comfortable and enjoyable than trying to find a seat or wait for food at some of the other branded lounges.
The food selection was awesome. There were sliders, pasta, salads, assortment of deserts, hot and cold dishes. The usual beverages and a nice area with a bar.
They had plenty of seating with different uses. Lounge area made for larger groups or families. Cubicles for those that wanted to work while they wait. Phone booths if you had to take an important conference call. Plus lots of additional seating throughout.
Even had this fun make your own hot chocolate station.
Check-in was also very simple. You just scan your boarding pass at the kiosk and select the options you want. Took 10 seconds!
It’s also facing the runways so you can see the planes taxi...
