The staff were all polite and professional BUT... Recently took a 27" iMac there. The 2tb HDD bricked and needed replaced. They quoted about $135-$150 over the phone. I took it over the next day. While there they told me the glass screens on these computers are easy to break and expensive to replace. So they couldn't make any guarantees nothing would happen. At this time they said it'd likely be about double the cost I was quoted on the phone. I needed the computer for my business, and I understood the risk and let them have it. A week goes by, which is fine, and they call to tell me the verdict. The price for parts and labor has increased to $400. And all they refused any reliability for the screen - if taken off and broken, they'd charge $1,000 to replace it. Honestly, I might've let them replace the HDD and paid the $400, but the lack of reliability for their work is what worried me. The potential cost quickly spiraled out of control. I picked it back up, took it home and had the glass screen removed within 20 minutes without a crack using a hair dryer, razor knife and prying plastic (the little triangles you use to open phones). I'll be replacing the HDD myself. I was looking for someone that could do it and not charge an arm and a leg. The initial cost, and even second estimate was fine. But a third that could've ran me $1,400 was insane. The staff was good and polite, but the estimates lost them my business, sadly. I prefer supporting local companies, but yikes. That being said, I'd likely bring my stuff back here if it's not something they consider complicated or a liability.

New power supply partially installed. Asked them to finish plugging in and find where jumper that was loose went to. That is it...they called Me and claimed non working water cooled processor and fan not working and misc other stuff. Told me $500 to fix it. I quickly informed them I didn't ask them to fix any of that and do that myself as I have a degree and was just being lazy. They called me 5 minutes later to tell me just 3 controllers weren't plugged in and mysteriously all was working now. Time has not been good to their honesty...be wary.

Excellent and friendly service. The pink LED is a nice touch.

Waited 3 weeks for a keyboard replacement. Told I would get calls and never did, was told it would be ready on two different occasions and it was not ready on either day. Finally when it was ready, told it was $120 and when I go to pay, all of a sudden it’s $208. I’ve been here before and it wasn’t like this but after this terrible experience, I will not be coming back.

UPDATE: I went and got a refund for $60. I thought it was going to be $80 but I just didn’t care anymore and wanted to be done. When I got home, I realized the bottom of my screen was damaged and called to have it fixed. They didn’t fight me about it so I assume they knew it was their mess up and just hoped I wouldn’t complain. Fortunately, they were able to fix it within a week. However, I’m not knowledgeable about fixing computers but I dropped it off with a Mac that had a logo on it and received a laptop with no Mac logo on it. I spoke with some friends who are knowledgeable and they believe they just replace the whole screen with a generic but compatible part. I’m pissed off because if you broke it, you should replace it with the exact part or something really close to it. I hope this doesn’t affect the value of my computer but I guess we’ll see when I trade it in. As for my original review, I am still firm on not returning to this business.

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PICS OF YOUR EQUIPMENT PRIOR/AFTER PICK UP & GET NAMES/WRITTEN DOCS WITH THE PRICE BREAKDOWN

LAST UPDATE: I was going to just leave the situation alone until the compatible part they installed would not let the laptop shut properly. So, I brought it back in and spoke with a technician named Sabrina. She not only fixed the issue but replaced the compatible part with an original apple product. She completed it in about a day, free of charge. Thanks to Sabrina, I'm changing the rating from one star to three but I am still firm on my original review.

LAST LAST UPDATE (10/07): My MacBook has ✨OFFICIALLY✨ died. I was worried this was going to happened when it started acting funny. Then one day it just wouldn’t turn on. I went to Stone Computer then the geek squad at Best Buy and they believe it’s the mother board. After both of their assessments, they agreed that it was best for me to just get a new computer. Although, I cannot “prove” a direct connection of my laptop issues to A+ computers, I will say that I’ve taken great care of my laptop. I’ve only used it for daily use (emails, papers etc.) and the second I had an issue (keyboard), I went to get it repaired. From the first day I dropped my laptop with the technicians at A+ computers, my poor MacBook has had nonstop issues. So, thank you A+ computers for not only playing with & breaking my laptop (and then charging me for it) but now making me have to buy a whole new computer. I appreciate your...

Do not recommend going here. Potential customers and A Plus Computers, I implore you to read:

I had a Retina mid 2012 15 inch MacBook Pro that I had gotten for free because the battery and logic board were not working. I go here to repair the laptop, the cost was reasonable I gave it to them and with ordering the parts and repair, it would be a month to a month and a half.

6 months goes by and I have received no word. I called asking about the laptop throughout these months, every time they said they were working on it, vague answers every time. Finally I go in to ask about it, they told me it had been put on a shelf awaiting repair and was essentially forgotten about. Finally it’s fixed.

I take it home, excited to use it, and the battery is defective! The laptop would not stay powered on unless it was plugged into the charger. So I take it it back. They tell me it’s under warranty but I still have to pay for labor to have the battery replaced!

So I get it back after another 2 months, because the battery they ordered had to come all the way from China. It’s working fine for a while, then after about 8 months the laptop just dies. It gets stuck in a bootloop. I finally just decide to open the laptop up and see what’s going on.

To my surprise, two screws were missing on the fan (when you shook the laptop you could hear the fan jiggle). I’m done with it at this point, I sell it for chump change on eBay.

The story is not over yet. The guy I sold it too was a bit of a Mac expert and identified the problem quickly. He let me know what the issue was:

2 logic board screws were laying loosely in the laptop. One screw was laying by the left speaker, not harming anything. The second was sticking straight up and was jammed next to the heat shield. It was shorting a resistor next to the heat shield. It was charring it in the corner.

Lastly the original two fan screws were still missing (the loose screws were not the fan screws). (4 screws missing in total)

I am disappointed in A Plus Computers service regarding time and quality. Don’t take your MacBook here, you won’t see it for months and it'll come back to you worse...

I took a new pc build in for a diagnostic. I knew the motherboard was not working but couldn't test all the parts. They charged $50 to diagnose the problem. This was fine. If they provided a good diagnostic I was willing to wait a week and possibly buy a new motherboard off of them, because I wanted a working pc. However their tech brad said they would not test the ram or processor and quoted the ludicrous price of $200 labor to install a motherboard we would purchase from them. I've built pcs. I took an A+ class at a this years ago. A motherboard swap for someone who does it professionally is like a half hour of work. If that, $400 an hour in labor is insane, and then to not even test the other parts before doing that, for a pc I cannot recommend their services. They might be fine for phones or laptops, but now I'd personally refuse to give them that chance.

The only positive in this was Dylan, he provided good, friendly customer service. The price he, and anyone else I talked to over the phone was fair. They quoted me a total price of around $150-200 to replace the part with testing for the other parts. If they kept to that quoted price they might very well have made a sale. As of now I'm not even sure what I could pay them for now, as they diagnosed the problems I already knew about and now I'm just going to skip the hassle and return everything new and buy a prebuilt pc off of Amazon, where I'll have a warranty and a return policy and a labor cost that doesn't leave me questioning if my shop locally policy is worth it anymore due to scamming charlatans.

If you do take your system here I do hope you get a good tech. I can tell they have good people, but my experience has been utterly lacking and i will not be using their services...
