Taqueria El Ranchito — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I have been a frequent visitor of Tacquiera El Ranchito for a few years now and tonight has been so bad that I will not give them my business again. I called at 8:15 to place a carryout order and was told 30 minutes. I arrived at 8:45 and waited another 20 minutes in line before even paying for the order. I guess in hindsight I should have just left then, but I chalked it up to being busy.

During that wait the guy at the counter was more worried about stocking salsa and refilling the horchata than making an effort to help the people in line (which was roughly 4-6 people during the entire time that I was there.

After paying, I was told it'd be another 5 minutes. I sat for another 20 minutes before going up to find out my order had been sitting there for 5 minutes. Mind you I kept watching for some kind of update.

So I finally get my food and get home to find the order of chorizo-queso missing. I call back hoping to get some kind of refund at this point, given how bad of an experience this has been.

The guy responds saying the owner told him they can't refund the card but I can come back to get the missing chorizo-queso. He gave the excuse of it being busy for him as to why he was not checking every order before it leaves. Mind you, he read back every item on the order to confirm it with me before I left.

This is the first time I've felt the need to leave a negative review. They've lost my business and I hope others read this before choosing to go there themselves.

I decided to go here and get me,my daughter and my son in law something to eat and I ordered take out and when I got our food they screwed our orders up and forgot our queso dip mind you I paid for a big thing of it that was 6.99 and a small $3 order of ur 3 and when I want back in to tell them the lady tariff saying she only charged me for a small thing of it so I did the math and nope she charged me for both. So when I said something about it she acted like she didn't understand the English I was using. I have 3 daughters that are half Hispanic so I have nothing at all against Hispanic people and I love their food but if you speak perfect English when I place my order but then don't speak any English when I ask about a mistake you made on my order well that's when we have a problem. I had high hopes for this place because I've heard a lot of good things about it and their food but what she did was just wrong on every level. I Didn't want to make a scene or argue especially since young children were there so I respectfully left and excepted that they got me. I paid $20 for food I didn't get and $30 for food I did get so my order altogether was $52 and I left a great tip on top of that just to not get my whole order and for the items I did get to be mixed up and on top of that my daughter had 2 pieces of hair...

I want to start out by saying that if I could give this place no stars I would. The service was absolutely horrible. My husband myself and our children came in, it was not too busy, took a few minutes to get our drink order started no biggie but we ordered one kids meal with our drinks so hers could come out before everybody else's. Well we waited about 30 minutes AFTER our drink order for them to even take the rest of the order. After they took the rest of our order we waited over an hour and didn't receive any meals! Let me repeat ANY!!! Not even the first child's order that we put in with our drinks. So over an hour and a half! Also 3 other groups came in AFTER we did, got their meals before us, and one couple even ate paid and left!!! We asked a waitress to check on our order and she never came back, we decided to just go. I am disgusted at our service, WHY WERE GROUPS OF ADULTS THAT CAME IN AFTER US SERVED BEFORE OUR CHILDREN?! An HOUR AND A HALF FOR A KIDS MEAL IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! Didn't even get to try the food for obvious reasons but this is one place will never go back and be sure to let everybody know how badly were treated.
