Upon entering the store I was greeted by a young woman. I stood and looked at the menu and the young man behind the counter looked at me so I knew he saw me. When I approached the counter, he didn't greet me or alert me that he was going to help me, but continued what he was doing until he was finished. Then he asked me the regular questions in an apathetic tone, "for here or to go," etc. It didn't seem like he cared and that didn't bother me so much, but when I ordered my sandwiches his awful mood did bother me. It seemed like he wanted me to be done ordering after one sandwich and when I actually was done I wondered to myself if I had done something wrong by ordering sandwiches from him. He put my name into the system wrong (without trying to get it right, I do have a hard name to get right in his defense). The woman who cashed me out was friendly enough, and I told her that it seemed the young man was in a bad mood, but at that point it seemed he was flirting and joking around with the other young woman behind the counter. I was glad to see he wasn't actually a depressed person but again, made me feel like I did something wrong. The woman who cashed me out told me she'd "talk to him." So I think she did talk to him while I was there, which made me think "great, now he's going to spit in my food." Anyway, he left the food on the grill and walked away, which got him another "talking to," and what really got me agitated and wanting to give you this feedback happened as I was walking out. He knew I didn't appreciate his attitude so after I was given my food and I was halfway out the door, he sarcastically yelled to me "have a nice night." So I went back in and asked for his name. The young woman said it was "Jake." I don't appreciate this sort of service and i will be choosing a different penn station or another sub shop over this one...
Read moreCame in Sunday September 10th at 1:36pm for lunch. I don’t get to go grab food often I’m a home eater and have anxiety. I ordered a club hot 9” and medium fries. I go to pay and I want to add a cookie to my order too. I pay. Of course I don’t know the cookie rule, right? I rarely go out to eat, it’s been years since I’ve come into penn station. I remember why now. Im very polite, I didn’t want to just grab a cookie even though I paid and I thought we’ll she didn’t tell me to pick one, she didn’t pick one snd hand it to me. I’ll just get it when I get my food. No. The girl hands me my food and I say, so now can I grab my cookie? All of a sudden I was suspicious. “Umm can I see your receipt?” I asked for no receipt, mam’ And I paid 3 minutes ago but the girl who rung me up magically went in the back. Hmmm wonder why you thought I was lying about the cookie? She Calls the manger to make sure I actually bought the cookie and now I’m getting worried i wasted money and not even gonna get the damn cookie! she pulls up my receipt mind you I paid 17$ for just a 9” sub, a medium fry and a cookie. I wanted that damn cookie. The rude manger says,” yeah it says she got a cookie, you’re supposed to grab it when you pay!” Omg like, mam’ I don’t work for you, therefore be polite because the whole reason I didn’t grab the cookie myself was to NOT BE RUDE. She said that as she was walking away throwing my receipt in the trash, she didn’t even look at me to say it!! So, hopefully she reads this and sees how it felt on the other side of the counter. Otherwise if you have anxiety like me, avoid the lady with the real tight bun on...
Read moreCollisium penn station was not busy We got there about 9 20 pm. Ordered a sandwich. They put onions on it when I asked not to. Asked for extra tomatoe and mushrooms which I didn't get. The sandwich was so sloppy looked like it was slapped together . I asked for pickles when I ordered and did not get any pickles AT all. This was the lady that worked 8/15 and we got there closer to 9 20 p.m She was not friendly and she doesnt care about her job and this wasnt one mess up... i would understand.. but everything was messed up and it was horrible. Never will go back. The whole sandwich was so soggy that it stuck to the paper when I tried to open it. My bf ordered the special which came with a fry and a drink and she charged for the drink. He asked and payed for extra cheese and did not get it. Mysandwich comes with cheese provolone cheese and I have no cheese at all. Asked her to cut the sandwich in half since we got foot long and i though they are supposed to do that anyways. his and my fry was 2/3 filled. Couldn't even fill the whole thing. No extra in the bag either. Idk if this was racism because I'm white and he is black but I'll be calling corporate. Or I need the right sandwiches made correctly but at this point I don't even want to go back there. I need our refund. I go to penn station on stellhorn all the time and have never complained once. Sandwiches there are always great they give u a great amount of fries and the staff is very friendly. I am never missing ingredients and the sandwiches don't look like they were dropped on the floor and slapped together and they are...
