Have been taking my mom to Darlington Farms every year since it was located in a warehouse by the airport. Darlington Ruined this yearly outing again this year and will not ever recommend or be back. Accused my 70yr old mother of stealing not once but twice, 2 days in a row. Spend $600 as a family on Friday, cashier deleted and started our transaction over twice because she said we were stealing while helping bag our purchases in correct bags. (Two of our candles were broken when we got home because of the way she bagged my moms items). I refused a bag and asked for a box for my candles. Said i could NOT have one from the enourmous pile up front. Why? Started transaction over because i put my candles in a box myself after she rang them.. (first items she rang by the way). She opened up every item including little 2inch miniture purses to make sure "i didnt stuff anything in them" . Her words not mine. The bagger put my other bags on floor out of reach and i had to ask her for them. Returned on Saturday as our receipt reflected incorrect pricing on Lego items. Lego was $59.99 and rang for $64.99. Your customer representive manager accused my 70yr old mother of changing price tags on the item. I was going to just leave and then i thought about how she called my mother a thief for 2nd day in a row. I went to back and pulled same item with same $59.99 tags on ALL of them from thier Lego display. Would not replace the difference for ANY reason. She finally replaced the entire price i paid and took the item back. I didnt want to return it. I wanted to be charged the correct price. They clearly are miss-pricing items at higher pricing trying to hide it under a discount %. I could care less about $5 myself but my elder mother was overcharged and felt cheated. What i care about is Darlington Farms literally stealing from your customers and know you are...and justify it by calling shoppers the theives. Your culture is flawed, your customer service management is rude, condescending, argumentative and last but not least stealing from general public probally at the direction of ownership. And in thr words of your manager the way out loudly speaking to the back of my head " You have a Merry Christmas" as well. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!
..but i will say the candle guy was working his tail off keeping area clean and stocked. Very friendly and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor one, I gave an extra star for their reply to that lady Norma and her bigoted comment.! Great way to handle that! I hadnt been to darlington in a very long time. A friend posted a picture with her daughter pushing a childās cart, so, I thought, ou they welcome kids, and as a parent you can TEACH them how to shop. WELL, to my surprise, some, NOT ALL, of the employees seemed very annoyed at my 2yr and 4yr old running down the isle with their cart. Sure it was very obnoxious, but I am not the parent who just let it continue. I taught them and that is that. My 4yr old understood, however my 2yr old needs work. An older lady blonde shoulder length hair told me. āYou can just leave them at home next time.ā Hmm ok, or all of us can stay home next time! I spent well over 100$ at that store and i left feeling so out of place. If that wasnāt enough, I donāt know if the police officer thought I was going to steal something or if he thought my children were going to break something, but EVERY time I looked up he was standing at the head of the isle looking at me. Lol. now, Iām no Farrah fawcett, and I have biracial children, so I doubt the older white man thought I was hot or something. Donāt know, but Part of my lesson was do not touch something unless you intend to buy it, because if you break it, you buy it. I love the products, and the prices, but Iām glad my children are at the age where they too didnāt leave feeling like I did! They matter! I matter, but I left there feeling so sad and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDarlington warehouse is still a fun place to go check out during the holiday season. I think it was more fun when things were a dollar way back when but that just shows my age. Currently most items are $2.49 but some can get upwards of 5 to 8 dollars. They also have childrenās games puzzles, Legos & toys at discount off retail so be careful and watch those price tags.
I took my daughter there for her first visit and she had a lot of fun looking through the books and some of the other items.
Be careful though because some of the items you can still get at dollar tree for Less than two dollars therefore $2.49 isnāt a bargain at Darlington. Still a fun place to check out every year
Also, all sales are final, so be very careful what you put in your cart. $2.49 might sound like a bargain but itās not if you really donāt need it or get home and change your...
