VERY disappointed. Rented Pavilion 3, spoke with Greg Maintenance Manager and was assured his crew would be there to clean Pavillion and reprogram lights and leave a trash bin for our Sunday Rental. THIS was not the case. The place hadn't been cleaned at all, trash, cob webs, dirty seats, tables and leaves everywhere. It definitely wasnt the caliber of the other 2 pavilions. We had family bring in brooms and a leaf blower to clean and had to dispose of trash leftthere ourself and clean all tables. We had surveyed this Pavilion a week before and there had been NO change in cleanliness, so no excuses for 'oh, its public and got dirty after cleaning.' We went and bought trash bags for our trash, which we left neatly stacked in the pavilion since there were NO trash bins as disclosed. The lights did kick on, after the fact, but were not reprogrammed to turn on as we needed them and were told theyd be reprogrammed for our event to kick on sooner. VERY disappointed in our Parks and Rec dept. I've requested our money back since we put in the labor of cleaning and readying the place. And I want Greg to know his crew definitely did NOT do any work on the Sunday before the event as he told me, they would be there to clean on Sunday morning before 11am. Voicemail was left as well. This is posted to warn others and make them aware before booking, so they dont spend extra time, energy and resources cleaning. You dont get what you...
Read moreSo have enjoyed going to this park many times specially to go for a walk. I've enjoyed the location of the parking..so easy to go from my car to the park. we come to see the many many beautiful plant displays. Usually enjoy the plant displays by to the old Lincon cabin . Which would love to see that again. Also like the common plants that I can find in the garden shops always available to be seen in beatful,.ample and we'll grouped Flower beds. Such as Marigold, tobacco, tulips annuas as well as perennials. I've even seen the occasional giant sunflower! We also like to see plants that have been a historical staple..Like trees that are found no where else.. plants no longer available.. near the bridal Glen as well as by the the fountain.I wonder why that is? Seems to be a lot of plants missing? Do we need to ask the city to buy more plants? I am wondering where the perennials have gone ? . The Rock garden is very nice and seems to have many plants in it .I'm really glad for the native bushes and trees seem to be very well cared for. Always glad to go to Foster Park, one of the prettiest spots in Fort Wayne. Hope it...
Read moreI love this park very much. There is quite a large area that includes golf courses and a children's playground, walking paths and comfortable benches for sitting, tennis courts and incredibly beautiful trees that make this park a very cozy place to relax. There are always people in this park...jogging, biking, playing tennis or golf, walking dogs, or just strolling around enjoying life. In the spring, this park turns into a fairyland of flowers... you will be amazed by the large number of flower beds with various types of flowers. This is a very popular place for photo shoots... babies, lovers, weddings and other photo shoots can be seen in this park. Autumn... is an incredible amount of colorful leaves on the trees, on the ground and in the air... It is immediately clear that this park was created with love...for nature, for coziness, for comfort...
