I ordered this rice dish from an Afghan restaurant, and it was honestly a big letdown. The food tasted like leftovers ā dry, bland, and completely lacking in freshness. The rice had no aroma or flavor, and the few pieces of carrots mixed in felt like they were thrown in just to say it had something extra.
There was no balance of spices, no richness, and no sign of the care or depth that Afghan cooking usually has. It looked and tasted like something that had been sitting out for a while and just reheated. For a dish that should be warm, fragrant, and comforting, this was the total opposite. Definitely not worth the price, and I wonāt be ordering from this...
