We had visited Sequoia NP during the day and decided to find a hotel on the western edge of the park so we could visit Yosemite the next day. There were lots of places on the southern edge, but only one (no vacancy) on the western edge. We ended up in Fresno, very late at night. This hotel had a vacancy, and it looked OK from the outside. The night clerk took my info and we headed upstairs to the room.
I had requested two beds, if possible. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room itself had two whole bedrooms, with one bed in each. Each room had its own access to the bathroom, so you didn't have to disturb anyone in the other room if you used the facilities. There was a mini-fridge and a microwave, which was a nice touch.
The sheets on the bed were some of the roughest fabric I've encountered. As I was reaching over to plug in my phone, I propped myself up on my right elbow, and when it slipped, I was left with a righteous rug burn that later scabbed over. After I pulled back the rest of the covers, it appeared that the sheets were otherwise clean, but covered in hair. I slept on top of the covers.
I did use the shower in the morning. It wasn't the cleanest or the dirtiest tub I've ever used, and the water pressure was fine. There were plenty of towels for two people.
The parking lot was mostly quiet overnight. In the morning, we saw a few persons camped out in a tent in front of the property. We hadn't seen them when we checked in, but I'm not sure we were in any position to go elsewhere at the time.
All in all, it was OK, but I probably wouldn't seek out this hotel if I were to...
Read moreWe ended up at this motel because it was very late at night and it was too far to go to Comfort Stay Three Rivers which is next to Sequoia, so we saw this motel and we decided to take a chance. We had 4 adults and a 2 year old. Yes, it is not a 5 star hotel and not a 3 star either. It is a motel and you get what you pay for. Everything else there is above $ 100 per night. This one was $ 67 which I think is pretty reasonable considering that you have Yosemite park and Kings canyon right there. Yes the linens did not look fresh but the staff convinced me that they were, I asked them to change them anyway. Friendly staff. The room is fine, pretty green walls, TV and fridge. If you are looking for something to spend your day this is not the right place, if you are looking for something to sleep in and spend your night it is fine. For motels in the area I am giving it 4 star considering the ratio of price/ quality. Staff is friendly and responsive, quite area, no hookers or drug dealers, nice...
Read moreThis place was the worse I've ever been to, I literally walked in and couldn't breathe. I have not ever saw a place so damn dirty in my life of staying in Fresno this dude & that guy he sits outside talking to are the most nastiest people alive. I got my money back for sure I hate passing by this place. Roaches everywhere bed was not made right & sheets were not clean... I wanted to call the people on this place. Not worth the price or deposit! Please don't stay here people you'll regret it you'll be better sleeping in ur car if got one. Or better yet just go somewhere else. I don't recommend this place any stars -0 all the way. ONE STAR FOR BEING ABLE TO PARK IN FRONT OF YOUR ROOM I GUESS, BUT STILL THESE ROOM SHOULD BE FOR HAD TIMES LIKE 35 DOLLARS A WEEK FOR THE HOMELESS 5 DOLLARS A DAY NO...
