A beautiful plaza with amazing additions since the 2016-2017 renovation! Catch a musical act (or a few - Friday evenings during the summer they have great tribute shows), a fitness class -my favorites are Yoga, Nia, and Zumba on a breezy morning, or a great number of other community events in this plaza. An awesome spot for Gainesville to get together, right in the heart of Downtown, near restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and plenty of history and culture. The restaurant in the back corner, Steamers, sell delicious fried rice, curry, drinks, and other tasty meal options. BE SURE to check it out, because it's a great option to grab food, sit, and enjoy whatever is going on at the plaza. Other good eat-at-Bo-Diddey options around are the frozen treat places - Gelato Company, Hyppo (popsicles), and Mochi (Froyo). On sunny days, watch your feet on the hot astroturf area directly in front of the stage, and never make the mistake of sliding on it, lest you go home with some...

Since I grew up in Gainesville I seen it change and change and change again. I miss the old fountain that used to be in the center. I love the feeling they put on the University Avenue side. I wish they would put it behind the stage sometimes. If you want to take the bus they go buy it if you want to take a car to several parking areas The only problem I have with it is there's not...

It looks like a fabulous space, surrounded by hotels, bars, restaurants and the vibe of a downtown college...
